Hotel needs remodeling. Very old and smells bad
Everything’s Excellent Including The Breakfast!!!!
If you just want to stay for the night to get away from home. Not really clean always an odor in the hallway. Ice machine and elevator out of service. Hard to explain i felt safe but unsafe if that makes sense lol.
This stay started off rough and did not really improve. At the original time of check in, no one was at the front counter. After waiting 10 minutes, we left, got dinner, then returned to check in.
The elevator closest to our room was broken, so we had to go down the long hallway, up, then back through the long hallway to get to our room, only to find the one given to us had not been cleaned. After repeating the trek back to the counter, the response we got was "housekeeping has left for the day". We we eventually assigned a new room (repeating the trek again due to the broken elevator), we got a clean room.
There were only two towels for the three of us. When asked for a third, we were told there were no more.
The front door to the hotel was broken, an elevator was broken, we were given a dirty room, and they would not provide us with enough clean towels.
The elevator was broken. Both the rooms I booked had ants the first room had an ant infestation the second room had a few. But everything else was fine except our neighbors were loud at 3am I have to be at work at 5am. The breakfast was okay!
I got ate up by bugs while I was sleeping. The room was dirty. There was crackheads screaming. And it sounded like someone was trying to kick my door in. All of the doors at the hotel had looked like they had been kicked in. The room reeked of pee.
The hotel was decent. The
Doors would not open with keys when they were open they wouldn't shut, wires hanging out of the lamps, dirty sheets, someone tried kicking our door open in the middle of the night, bugs, smeels like pee in the whole place.
This property really needs updating. I should have read the reviews before booking. Everything everyone else said was true, one elevator did not work and the other was filthy. Wallpaper peeling off wall, several lights had no covers and some didn’t work at all, Toliet seat was not connected on one side. Ceiling looked like mold on it. I’m so surprised that La Quinta is still franchising this location.
Hotel was dirty and smelled bad. It is very dated. One of the elevators doesn’t work, the tv in my room didn’t work and the toilet seat was hanging on the toilet by one screw! The floor in the bathroom was sticky as well. I didn’t want to be there and I’ll never stay there again.
This hotel was awful. Door opened without key card. CO2 detector missing from ceiling. Shattered bedside lamp falling out of the wall. Holes in comforter and sheets. People slamming doors all night. The list goes on. Customer service was even terrible. This place needs to be closed down. Can’t believe I paid over $100 for the night.
The room was very terrible not as Advertised like on the internet listing the room was outdated and smelled of Marijuana I didn’t even stay at the hotel with to a family member’s house instead.
Great value for money
The staff was great! The breakfast was decent. The condition of the building was extremely deteriorated. My door was broken. The keys only worked on doors sometimes. The location is in dire need of an upgrade and I understand a remodel is planned. I would not recommend this location to anyone right now, but it if was renovated, I think it would be great as the location in Memphis is good.
The room was supposed to be pet friendly, but out cat found 3 places to hide. One of those places was in the wall and around the tub. The bedside table was broken as was the wall sconce above it. The refrigerator did not work and we had to crawl under the desk to adjust the temperature because the thermostat didn’t work.
In desperate need of cleaning and repairs! The entire place
My father is in the hospital across from the hotel and although the location is great the hotel s in desperate need of some TLC. The tv stopped working but that was not a big deal and they were able to swap rooms. The breakfast was adequate and warm. My stay was broken in to two stays. On the second stay one of the elevators were out and my elderly mother had to walk to the other end of the building to the elevator. When I asked the gentleman behind the counter he said no this is the room you have when clearly my mom needed a first floor room. That night our air kept going in and out in our room. On the last day both elevators went out and my elderly mother had to walk three flights of stairs. Just do better!
Ps. There was one lady on the first stay that was kind and did all she could do.
I booked a nonsmoking room, but first floor wreaked of smoke and marijuana which had to pass through to get to my non smoking room. Room lock barely functioned, and when locked made a loose seal there was a 1/4 inch gap all the way from top to bottom between door and the jam. The ac unit was unplugged… and for good reason, when plugged in smelt like smoke, and the fan was loud as if not on shaft. I guess when you book at a cheap place you get cheap quality.
Room and bath were very clean. Shower had hot water. However the carpet felt damp and if AC was not turned to 70 or colder the room got smelly. Breakfast ever morning was good. Coffee was good. Pool was closed.
The pool was closed which is why we picked the property
