We love the V&A Harbor and it was perfect for us that Table Bay is located right where the action is.
The hotel is elegantly appointed and there are lots of instagrammable areas.
The hotel is popular and so it can get busy during breakfast. But the buffet is good and we like the fact that there are lots of food items.
Stayed at the hotel for weekend words can't explain the beuty and warm hospitality.
Accomodation perfect
Staff perfect
Cleanliness perfect
Food extremely good and fresh. SIBA Restaurant the best
Waiters very friendly
Very welcoming guests recievers at the entrance of hotel.
Reception very good
We celebrated my daughter birthday we got surprise cake baked to perfection. .Wow a true 5 star treatment
Pros : Classic clean with good location. service is sweet, rooms are clean and accommodating. They have nice views on table mountain . breakfast was nice too but it can get busy . they hotel is attached to a mall.
Cons : not much to say , just can get crowded at breakfast time since the area is a bit small for a hotel like this. come early.
Great hotel in a great location. Our room was a mountain view luxury room with a balcony directly facing Table Mountain. Room was spacious with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful especially when I was struck down with a stomach bug. Breakfast was amazing stretching across three areas with a huge choice of food for every taste. Only slight downside was a ship being repaired immediately adjacent to the hotel with constant noise during the day. Overall very good.
Great place to stay but apparently closing soon for renovations.
We had two nights here as part of our travels and it's a great location to explore the waterfront.
It has a definite feeling of luxury (even though I understand they are soon to have some renovations). But the most outstanding things about the hotel are their staff and client relations.
Without exception, the staff were brilliant. Our initial reception, all the waiting staff in the restaurant, bar and atrium lounge, room services, the concierge sorting out our Table mountain visit after a disappointing experience there. A place is only a reflection of it's people, how well they work combined with how happy they are - at Table Bay the impression is certainly good.
We didn't have dinner, but the breakfasts are excellent with sooo much choice, and a great bar with fab cocktails - again the staff couldn't be more obliging.
The icing on the cake was the treat arranged because of our special occasion. It again showed that were we valued customers and it was very much appreciated 👏
Front desk staff excellent
Best location in V&A close to everything. A bit tired but very nice. This is the place anless you want to pay much more for the ultra luxury places. Recommended.
We’ve just spent a week at this lovely hotel. It wasn’t our first choice but I’m really glad we ended up here.
The location is brilliant, it’s on the V&A waterfront with fantastic views across the harbour and table mountain. There are lots of shops & restaurants around here and visible security. At no point did we feel unsafe.
Some reviews have said it isn’t a 5 star - however it is easy to pick apart most places and yes there was the odd mark and the rooms themselves could do with a style refresh. They are large and extremely comfortable though with pretty much everything you’d want in a room here.
The pool isn’t massive but is pleasant with good views. There is a spa here too. The breakfast buffet is really extensive and the outside terrace a really lovely place to eat it.
The staff have all been wonderful & many thanks for making this a special place for my mother’s 80th birthday. She won’t forget the kindness.
All in, lovely place & I would very much like to re-visit!
We have been regular visitors to the Table Bay over the last twenty years and our latest seven night stay was not a disappointment in any way.
The rooms (we had a Mountain view which also has a wonderful view of the harbour) are spacious and well appointed and still in very good condition after nearly 30 years.
The breakfast buffet is probably the best in South Africa with an amazing choice and all the staff are lovely.
We are well aware that the hotel is closing shortly for a major refurbishment and change of brand. We sincerely hope that the character of this wonderful hotel, for us the best in Cape Town, is not spoilt.
The hotel is excellent but it needs to be renovated soon
This is an excellent hotel in an excellent location in the heart of the Victoria and Albert Harbor. There are great restaurants and shops well within walking distance from the hotel. We felt very safe in the area. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and extremely comfortable. The complete breakfast was fabulous with delicious options and wonderful service. The staff was extremely competent and welcoming. The concierge service was helpful and patient before our journey and during our stay. The salt water pool was a nice touch. The only negative would be the undersized gym for such a large establishment. However, I didn't come to work-out, and I would still highly recommend this hotel if visiting Cape Town.
Lovely!
Very convenient. Best shopping experience and multiple dinning options around the area.
Bed,bath and complementary breakfast were outstanding
We had a great stay, the hotel is very conveniently located, however bad experience upon checking out.
We made the booking online (directly with the hotel) and pay the full accommodation. According to their 1st version, the payment was only a deposit. Then they argued that the rates went up because of the high occupancy and they "add" an additional R6000.00 to our bill.
My advice to travelers, make 100% how payments are allocated and get prior confirmation (even if it sounds silly) what is included. Get itemized receipts and statements.
Our stay at The Table Bay Hotel was simply outstanding. Situated on the V&A Waterfront, the location couldn't be more perfect—offering excellent views of the iconic Table Mountain and easy access to all the local sights.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The concierge service was top tier, providing excellent recommendations and even booking a fantastic meal for us. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile truly made our stay special.
The views from our room were breathtaking, with Table Mountain as a stunning backdrop. Whether relaxing in our room or exploring the nearby attractions, the convenience and beauty of this location made our experience unforgettable.
The breakfast served at the hotel was amazing, featuring a wide range of delicious options to suit every taste. From fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes and gourmet selections, it was the perfect way to start each day.
Highly recommend The Table Bay Hotel for anyone visiting Cape Town. It exceeded our expectations in every way!
Great breakfast included
The place was so clean ,reception was on point, everything was great .i enjoyed staying there .looking foward to visit again.the view is so incredible.it affordable .if you looking for an affordable place this one is the best .last thing it also safe
A lovely hotel on the waterfront of the Victoria and Alfred Quay. The rooms were spacious and had lovely views of the bay, we also moved to a mountain view room which was also excellent. The property is a little tired in places but didn't deter us from the enjoyment at the hotel. The breakfast choice was extensive and the staff very friendly. The hotel arranged taxis and trips for us as required. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shops.
