Excellent service, great breakfast, lovely spa, spacious room, beautiful art collection, quiet and peaceful
WiFi wasn’t great and kids sofa bed could have been better
Lovely hotel nothing was to much trouble for staff. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choices
Nothing
Everything you’d expect with the addition of wonderful friendly staff throughout who are genuinely concerned you have everything you need.
Breakfast were absolutely delicious and so generous. Room was very well appointed with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers - not always the case in hotels. Serviced twice daily so absolutely spotless.
Whilst breakfast was buffet service the three restaurants - all excellent were waiter service. All very spoiling. The spa is one of the best I have used abroad.
Nothing to dislike about the hotel, and it is just out of town on a hill, but Puerto de la Cruz is very crowded and not overly charming.
Fantastiskt stora ytor överallt, rummet, frukostavdelningen, poolen, baren.
Live music varje dag, mycket hjälpsamma. Oerhört välskött

We stayed 4 nights at the Botanico and it was excellent. The property and gardens are superb. The rooms are large and well equipped. The service is top notch. On the downside the breakfast was disappointing for such hotel.
This was our third time back to the Hotel Botanico.
All the staff across all areas of the hotel are really helpful and professional.
We stayed in an Ambassador suite - which is a great size rooms with nice views.
Weather was a bit mixed while we were there, so spent a lot of time in the indoor pool and spa area which is really lovely. Pool temperature was just right!
Ate in 2 of the hotel restaurants during our 1 week stay. The Spanish and the Thai restaurants, both of which were excellent with very attentive staff and quality dishes. Had a few drinks/cocktails and some bar food in the Bar Hall, which were also very good.
A nosotros nos encanto desde el minuto 1 hasta que salimos por la puerta el dia del chek out,el atendimiento de todo el personal ESPECTACULAR,GRACIASSS.
This is a fabulous hotel the only disappointment was that we were only there for 4 nights.
From check in to check out the experience was fabulous, the staff cannot do enough for us.
We were in an Ambassador Suite, highly recommended I have to say, loads of room and just as good as anything we’ve had the pleasure of staying in.
All the facilities were fantastic from the pool to dining the gardens and we used the spa which in itself is exceptional.
Definitely plan to go back at some time.
La tranquillità

A very comfortable hotel with a high level of service, amenities and food and beverage offer. I hope to visit again.
The hotel is very modern and comfortable. The breakfast is varied and there is plenty of space. I believe you need a car anyway, if you plan to travel around, but the hotel has a shuttle to the center of the city. Parking is convenient. We also tried one of the restaurants and the food was good.
We tried the Spa area, it is on the smaller side and there is not a lot of space inside - but it might have been due to the bad weather and more people being inside.
The staff were marvellous and all the facilities were great. The room was excellent. Great choice at breakfast. We thought the quality and price at Il Pappagallo was very good.
The quality of the food at La Parilla was not good and the high price made it even worse! We have sent a separate review about this.
This is my third trip to this delightful hotel, which boasts excellent food, superb spa treatments and clean, comfortable rooms that enable a good night's sleep to be enjoyed.
The staff are kind, friendly, helpful and professional. I was surprised that the staff chose to give me a card, chocolates and a drinks voucher when they ascertained it was my birthday, which was a lovely, thoughtful and generous gesture.
This hotel is excellent value for money, situated in a peaceful and quiet location. Perfect for a getaway and indulgence!
We have stayed at this hotel several times and it is always amazing. A lot of money has recently been spent in upgrading the bedrooms with new bathrooms (wonderful shower) and USB ports.
The staff are all exceptional, always smiling and helpful.
The courtesy bus now drops off centrally and runs an evening service as well.
Whilst we all hope for sunshine on holiday, the North of the island does have more rain but then you transfer to the world class spa. And relax!
The rooms were spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The spa was, hands down, the highlight of my stay (it rained the whole time, so outside activities were pretty limited). I basically lived at the spa, and between the great services and the full circuit of options, I was never bored and I left thoroughly relaxed. The massage / beauty services offered at the spa were A+ and a great value for money.
The grounds were actually quite beautiful -- presentation-wise the hotel was exactly what you'd expect from a 5* luxury hotel. Sadly, I didn't get to do much walking around because the weather was atrocious. This was not the hotel's fault, of course.
The staff were very friendly and for the most part, attentive. The Thai restaurant was delightful, when it was open.
Booking.com seems to give this hotel an 8, based on my answers, but I'd say it was closer to an 8.5.
Vibe-wise, it seemed designed for an older crowd. The median age at the hotel was probably 75. It felt a bit like going on a cruise in that the pre-organized events weren't particularly appealing to someone in my age cohort, the patrons were amusingly fussy, and most of the food options fell on the predictable/expected/safe side. That could be seasonal (I went during the shoulder season), so perhaps it's a different vibe in the warmer months.
In some respects, the hotel was unnecessarily fussy overall-- lots of attentiveness and rules in some regards, while other parts of the hotel were bordering on neglectful. Attendants came into the room a lot, which was a little surprising to me, while some restaurant service was sporadic at best, and on the few days where it was nice enough to sit outside, there was inexplicably no way to just order a drink poolside.
I get that this sounds very entitled, but given the price point, it's worth calling out. Overall, the price-relative-to-quality (and sometimes, service) was disproportionate, and because the hotel is designed to be all-inclusive and the immediate neighborhood is limited for options especially walking distance options during a very rainy period, I was a bit disappointed.
