Exceptional day with my lovely wife who smiled the entire time as we had many oohs and ahs, as Nomkitha guided through an experience that will last a lifetime. The Nelson tea was superb.
If I could rate the ‘Nellie’ Afternoon Tea with 6 stars - I would!
It starts with a selection of savoury bites, pastries and light sandwiches.
Second plate is scones and sponge cake.
This is followed by a plate of delicate cakes.
If you then have any room left there is a selection of cakes by the slice which you can go up and choose.
The selection of tea is amazing with over 75 to choose from.
I had exceptional service from Zodwa. Who offered me to try a different tea with each course.
This experience is way better than Fortnum and Mason’s or The Ritz in London.

I have been using the Nelly for quite a long time now staying for four weeks at a time this hotel cannot be faulted even though it’s in the center of Cape Town when you’re in the grounds, you could be in a national park beautiful Gardens, swimming pool, etc. all the staff are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are made up immaculately. and they also have now a fine dining restaurant Amura which is a another feather in the cap of the hotel. Well done then Nelly look forward to returning in 27.

The Afternoon Tea at the Mount Nelson is a must if you visit Cape Town. The food was amazing and the service from Nomkitha was first class.
