Excellent afternoon tea at the Mount Nelson. Nomkitha provided such great service - friendly and chatty and always helpful. Food was great - far more food than we expected with a savoury 3 tier stand to start, scones and loaf cake followed and then the cake stand with 6 cakes each. Then there is a buffet cake table where you can also help yourself. Beautiful setting and overall a great experience.
Ntombi our server was wonderful and attentive. The recommended teas were superb.
The most wonderful afternoon tea experience with Thuli. Felt so well taken care of and special! The food, tea, and wine was absolutely phenomenal. Will certainly be coming back as soon as possible! A must-do during your stay in Cape Town. Love it!

Nomkitha our attendant was Superb! She was funny, sweet and has alot of knowledge.

We had a lovely high tea. It's actually really filling and so delicious!! Zona was fabulous 😍
One thing that stood out was the smile on Wiseman's face and incredible service. The tea conisseur came to the table to check in with us and this was a special touch. Beautiful location and well kept grounds. Afternoon tea was incredible paired with the selection of food.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff was so kind and helpful. The food was amazing and I highly recommend you eat at Amura! The best seafood! The concierge helped make sure my got to me before we left for the safari leg of our trip. What a wonderful and welcoming staff!

With a spare afternoon before catching our evening flight, we stopped off at Mount Nelson Hotel for afternoon tea. The hotel is inside a great location; only around 20 mins from the airport, which makes it a convenient pre-flight stop off. The restaurant is inside the lovely hotel property overlooking a beautiful garden.
The afternoon tea set consists of 3 parts, savoury sandwiches, scones and petite fours, plus a glass of welcome rosé champagne, and a couple of teas. The quality of the food and the tea was very good throughout. Service of the staff is also excellent, particularly Zodwa who served our table. Very glad to detour to this hotel to indulge ourselves the delicious afternoon tea under the soft winter sun. A perfect footnote to a few days in Cape Town.

A lovely afternoon tea experience in a gorgeous setting. Staff were so attentive, Leisha was especially fabulous! I had the classic and my friend had the vegan option, which was very well thought out and considered. Everything was super tasty - the cake table and homemade iced teas were added extras we didn’t expect and a nice touch. The tea sommelier was knowledgable and offered lots of advice, we could have tried so many of the options available. Highly recommend!
