Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, Cape Town

Lovely afternoon tea! Beautiful salon and wonderful service. I have celiac and it was amazing how much they knew about gluten and cross contamination. Everything, the sandwiches, Scones and pastries, was gluten free! Our waitress Thuli was really great!

We had a lovely High Tea at the Mount Nelson a couple of weeks ago. The setting is beautiful, with a wonderful selection of teas to choose from and an impressive abundance of delicious sweet treats (we were bursting by the end)!

A special mention must go to Andiswa, who made our afternoon even more enjoyable. She was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming, and her excellent service really stood out.

We had the most magical, beautiful weekend at the Mount Nelson! The attention to detail is absolutely incredible!! We went as a mini moon/ birthday weekend for my husband. Our room was upgraded & incredible! Biggest room I've ever been in haha. They surprised us with complementary champagne & chocolate cake (to die for). We felt like we were in this little bubble the whole weekend - so tranquil, so beautiful & so lux!! The staff were so friendly & warm & made so much effort! The breakfast buffet was insane! Couldn't recommend this enough.

We stayed at the Mount Nelson for our final night in South Africa, and it was the perfect way to end an incredible trip.

The first thing that struck us was the setting. Even the drive up to the property through the tree-lined entrance is beautiful, and the gardens make the hotel feel like a peaceful retreat in the middle of Cape Town. The Mount Nelson has a timeless charm that makes it feel unlike anywhere else.

The food was phenomenal, and breakfast the next morning was one of the highlights of our stay. The selection was expansive, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious.

A special thank you to Warwick from Guest Services, who was incredibly informative and helpful throughout our stay. We also have to recognize Cheslyn, who took care of us at dinner. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant, and she left a lasting impression on us.

We only stayed one night, but we left wishing we had booked longer. We’ll absolutely be back and look forward to spending more time at the Mount Nelson on our next visit to Cape Town.

We stayed here as a family of four with two teenagers. My son became sick within the first 24 hours and Wellington Zembe the Guest Experience Manager directed his team to bring flowers, broth and oral hydration drinks to our room. They made a spare bed for our daughter in the common room and made us feel very taken care of. Three of us had dinner at the Verandah and had a great meal taken care of by Emmanuel and Chevril(possibly spelling that wrong). The dinner was grande, with the food and service battling together for which was better. We definitely recommend the chocolate mousse-it is crafted table side and was awesome!

The Mount Nelson is pure perfection. Nothing can be faulted! My cat and I were privileged to get an upgrade and experienced the Deluxe suite. Everything was perfect! The room and bathroom aid spacious, luxurious with every little detail making our stay perfect.
It would be wrong to mention only a few staff members as EVERY person we interacted with was friendly, courteous and helpful.
The gardens and pool are exceptionally well maintained and the breakfast and high tea we enjoyed were next level! I wish we could have experienced some of the amazing activities on offer, but our stay wasn’t long enough. Definitely the best accommodation I have experienced in 27 countries. Thank you to everyone and long live the Pink lady!

An Unforgettable Stay at the Mount Nelson Hotel — 10/10

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Mount Nelson Hotel. It truly feels like an oasis and a jewel in the heart of Cape Town. The grounds are beautiful, the hotel is immaculate, and every detail of the décor and overall experience feels incredibly thoughtful and well cared for.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were upgraded to an even better room, which was a wonderful surprise, and throughout our entire stay, the staff never missed a beat. The rooms were incredible, and the level of attention to detail was truly outstanding.

Some of the experiences they arranged for us made the stay particularly special. I had the best tennis lesson I have ever had with one of their tennis pros. He was incredibly experienced and completely transformed my game in a single lesson. I also had the greatest massage I have ever experienced.

The hotel recommended that we hike Lion’s Head, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The views of Cape Town were even better than those from Table Mountain, and the hotel went above and beyond by preparing a bag of hiking supplements for us to take along. It was such a thoughtful touch.

Even when I needed to get a haircut before an early 6:30 a.m. flight, the hotel somehow managed to arrange for someone to come directly to the hotel. That perfectly sums up the level of service at the Mount Nelson — they are incredibly proactive and seem to anticipate every need before you even have to ask.

We visited during the winter and still had an incredible experience, but I am already looking forward to returning in the summer to experience the hotel and its beautiful grounds in a completely different season.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about the Mount Nelson Hotel. It is an immaculate, beautifully designed, world-class property with exceptional service and an incredible range of experiences.

Staying at the Pink Lady was on my bucket list It was a very memorable experience and well worth it All staff are very professional warm and very accommodating.

What was supposed to be winter get away was a much warmer affair.
Leisurely drinks & reading in the sun. Warm service and amazing facilities made this birthday stay magnificent.

Andiswa was an absolute delight. Knowledgeable, energetic, and took such good care of us. Couldn't have asked for a better afternoon tea!! :-)
