Pros:

Quel bonheur de retrouver cet hôtel.
Merci infiniment pour vos attentions.
Le personnel est accueillant, présent et à la fois discret.
La chambre qui nous a été attribuée venait d être refaite. C est encore plus beau qu’avant.
C est toujours un plaisir de profiter de cet établissement, du calme après des escapades dans la tumultueuse Venise.
Les travaux de rénovation redonnent du panache à ce lieu historique.
Le petit déjeuner est riche, varié et délicieux.
Il y a juste quelques petites remarques sur la salle de bain que nous nous permettons de faire afin d’être encore plus proche du « sans faute » :
- prévoir des accroches serviettes
- changer l’embout du sèche cheveux qui ne correspond pas.
- enlever les scotchs de peinture
- mettre en hauteur les pompes de produits plutôt que posées au sol dans la douche
- réparer l intérieur des placards
- changer le chauffe serviette rouillé
- réparer le miroir à l’entrée.

May not return. There are other similar star hotels in Venice to stay at with much better service and friendliness- JW M
Pros:

We have been coming for years but this year was different. Felt very disjointed, staff not friendly only a few (breakfast staff was incredible) Valentina in room service was not friendly at all. Did not feel luxurious, felt cold and empty.

Cons:

Extremely rude female lifeguard, no bedside manner, front desk staff doesn’t say hello unless you approach them.

Die Lage am Strand , das freundliche Personal , das geräumige Zimmer mit Sicht zum Meer , das gratis Shuttle zum Markusplatz , das üppige Frühstücksbuffet , Liegen und Schirm am Strand inbegriffen ....

Cons:

In unserem Zimmer ( 628 ) funktionierte das WLAN des Hotels überhaupt nicht und das Internet über das normale Telefonnetz auch sehr schlecht ! Wir haben das täglich dem Concierge persönlich gemeldet , der uns ebenso täglich eröffnete " heute " würde der Techniker kommen und den Fehler beheben !! Nach einer Woche Noch nix passiert !!!!

best of both world - Venedig und Sandstrand

ich komme seit mehr als 40 jahren ins Excelsior am Lido von Venedig und habe die diversen Inhaber-und Betreiberwechsel miterlebt. Jetzt hat das Hotel wieder zu seiner Bestform gefunden.
ein einziges kleines Minus muss leider erwähnt werden: die eingeschränkten Fahrten mit dem Hotel-Shuttle-Boot. Das kann zu unvorhergesehenen Wartezeiten führen…
und natürlich die Tatsache, dass man kein Gepäck mehr auf das Hotelboot nehmen darf ist sehr kundenunfreundlich….
ansonsten: ein Traumhotel💥

Really old charming hotel with only 3 star services……
Pros:

Big rooms with nice sea view. Excellent boat port with boat accessibility of San Marco in Venice.

Cons:

Rooms : In shower no shelves for personal items, shampoo and conditioner placed on the floor !!! No refill of used drinks to the refrigerator ! High numbers of moskitos and no anti moskito nets or anti moskito spray. We ordered orange juice in pool bar and after 40 minutes no service, extremely slow motion waiters…. They were surpriced we cancelled our order after 40 minutes of no service. We asked beach service for beds, answer was : You have beds near pool, no beds on the beach…. Breakfast : for 5 star hotel very poor bread buffet, no corner for fresh egg buffet ( breakfast on the level of 3 star hotel ) .
