The garden

Cons:

The food is the worst I’ve ever had at a hotel in Italy. It is ridiculously overpriced. I was also charged twice for the boat I rented at checkout — how is that even possible with two receptionists handling my checkout together? Overall, the hotel is not worth the money. It’s simply not at the level you’d expect for the price they charge

Pros:

Location is one of the Best

Cons:

Open Toilets, no door, and are part of the bathroom, not separate! No privacy, and toilets require Privacy!!
Bathrooms have little counter space to place toiletries, and no space to feel relaxed.
Required to pay for breakfast, as automatically included with one’s room! We stayed one full week, and we never ate breakfast even once!!
The bathrobes & towels at the Spa were way too big, and heavy, so uncomfortable!! Light
cotton towels & bathrobes would be much better!
Overall design & architecture of the rooms & furniture look very nice, but whoever did the design/architecture, did not actually check out the usage, and the usage in most cases unacceptable. Anyone with a good eye, or if one used the room, this would be obvious. The room keys needed to be replaced because they didn’t work, and we had to reactivate the card keys more times than the total number of days we stayed at the resort!! First time in my life that I have experienced such Problems with a Belmond Owned & Operated Property!!!
I have always thought of the Belmond Hotel Group to be the finest in the World, so quite a surprise.

Truly a gem on the Costa Smeralda
Pros:

We haven´t stayed here since the 80's, retried it while in transfer from a boat excursion and were joyfully overwhelmed. The friendlyness of the staff, the overall service-philosophy, the renovated layout and interior, pools and beach, the gym, food and breakfast - amazing!

Cons:

Housekeeping in the corridor was rather noisy from 07:00 am onwards

Pros:

Eu gostei bastante do hotel, tudo muito bonito, o local é demais. O mar é bonito, tem umas partes com alga mas nada demais. Existem também outras praias mais bonitas, mas a do hotel é ótima. Os guarda sóis do hotel são muito bons, fica bem a beirada da praia. O atendimento também é excelente. Minha única insatisfação é com os valores cobrados pelo restaurante do hotel, até porque a comida não tem nada demais, tem muitos restaurantes a cidade melhores inclusive.

Great set up with a lovely beach and gym but badly in need of a makeover
Pros:

The staff working at the hotel are friendly, charming and professional
Very relaxing and well designed flow of space from the hotel to the garden, the pools, the beach restaurant and finally to the beach.
The beach itself is really charming and the beach club has very comfy chairs and is well managed by JP and his team.
The gym has been upgraded and has all you need for a proper workout including a full rack with a 20kg bar, a dual pulley and leg extension and leg curl machines - whoever designed it really knew what they were doing.

Cons:

The central reservations of the Belmond group are awful and know nothing at all about the hotel.Make sure you book directly with the hotel.

The hotel rooms were last refurbished about 30-40 years ago and feel very dated especially given the room rates you’re paying. No place to plug in a phone charger by the bed, 1970s black plastic light switches, pebble dash walls etc etc Also the sound proofing between the rooms is quite poor. We had a manic nanny next door to us who seemed to be doing her best to keep her kids awake until past midnight every night by jumping on the bed etc only to be outdone by super dad who would occasionally drop in around 1am to tell his kids they were having a blast in an incredibly loud way. The point is we shouldn’t have been able to hear any of that !
The quality of the rooms is also very mixed with some rooms that are very musty and are basically basement level and some that are very close to the reception. We know because we had an awful one on the first night.

Stunning location, facilities and staff- but bring plenty of money.
Pros:

The location, staff and facilities. The bedroom was spacious and the bed amazing. The breakfast offering was very good

Cons:

The bathroom mirror steamed up for an hour post shower. The phone didn’t give the number of reception or concierge.
The breakfast my wife described as a circus- too many staff- so slow unpredictable service. 20 minutes and 3 separate deliveries for scrambled egg and salmon on toast! 4 attempts to give two people a pot of English breakfast tea each.
Everyone you spoke to said the pricing was ludicrous’ - €200 for buffet lunch as an example.

Everything. The hotel is perfect, amazing place, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia, excellent staff, extremely comfortable rooms. Everything was perfect, we hope to come back!
