Everything was great!
breakfast had good selection of fruit cereal pastries and good cooked options
the bathroom had an over bath shower which was difficult to use and leaked all over the bathroom floor.
the hosel had a lively spa and health club and very active golf course which detracted from a quiet few days away.
Really comfortable room and bed Complimentary water which was a real bonus
Friendly receptionists
The restaurant advertising the fact they were selling meat from the farm next door when you could hear the sheep bleating in the fields- not a good venue for vegetarians.
There were ants in the bathroom
Beautiful setting and great breakfast
Prertty much everything
Great helpful and professional reception staff
Nice dinner in Farmer & Butcher - nice bar staff
I think closing the kitchem for the bar at 630pm is too early
Changing rooms, grounds and food. Bedroom was nice, comfy beds.
Kids in the pool all the time - should introduce "splash time" or advertise as family hotel - can't be spa hotel and family at the same time. Felt like staff could do with extra training.
Everything
Nothing
Perfect location, lovely hotel
Nothing
Very good amenities with plenty of comfy seating areas.
Clean and star super friendly and helpful at reception
Had some food in bar 3 separate small plates one of the dishes was cold and I could not eat it. The lady asked why and said she would tell the chef but still charged me for it which I thought was a bit rich
Rooms were spacious and bed and pillow comfortable. Location of hotel was excellent for trips into local area. Spa facilites were excellent with steam sauna and decent size pool along with complimentary towels.
breakfast service on Sunday was extremely poor. Breakfast is served until 11am and we went at 10am following the use of the spa facilites. Whilst it was was busy, there wasn't people waiting to be seated. Despite taking and receiving our drinks order straight away we had to wait another 15 mins to order hot food (my wife only wanted toast and I ordered poached egg) The food took another 45 mins to arrive and when it my wife received white toast when she had ordered brown and my poached egg was just one egg on a very small muffin . Compared to the size of the other breakfast meals you could order I was very disappointed at the size of this meal - I expected 2 poached eggs as a minimum. During the service there was no communication from the staff as to how long the food would take and we have never waited nearly an hour from ordering to receiving food. Very poor from a hotel of such calibre . Also, whilst we appreciate this is a dog friendly hotel, one of the guest had their dog on their lap the whole time through breakfast and fed it at the table (other dogs were in the breakfast room and were on the floor under the tables) Personally, this made me feel very uncomfortable and I have not experienced this at any other hotel that it was acceptable to have a dog in such close proximity of where future dinners would be eating from. Fine to do this in your own home, but not in a restaurant setting, regardless of whether the hotel was dog friendly.
Reception staff were delightful
No fridge in the room, rooms very basic, pool was cold.
The welcome to the hotel was warm. The room was spacious and clean with everything you needed. Food was outstanding in the Farmer, butcher, chef restaurant on site. We will defiantly be back.
Location and kind staff
Busy pool
Hard to find room
Expensive breakfast
No useful plug /charging sockets for phone in room
Love this place been going for years 👍🏻
The staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay was superb... thank you
The only thing was we had the same drinks but had different prices. The one in the golfing bar (not sure what it is called, its by the golf course and passed the swimming pool. Drinks there cost 14.10. In the bar of the hotel 17.20, then same drinks 17.20 then18.00 and same day 19.00. On asking why 19.00 we were told well we have run out of small bottles of coke. Seems odd I should be charged for the hotel not being able to supply the right coke.
We had a fantastic meal at the Farmer, Butcher, Chef (despite the horrible name it has more than just meat on offer!). Food and service were excellent.
The stay was great value for money.
Whilst the building looks lovely from the outside, it is ‘motel’ feeling on the inside - soulless and corporate feeling. There was no heart/centre to the building beyond the Reception area.
