The room was large and recently updated. Very nice on 14th floor.
Valet parking $35 per day. Need to be prepared there are no restaurants in walking distance. Hotel dining was very limited to burgers and salad.
Not much.
Carpet was old, stained and felt unclean
Towels had stains
A/C could not be regulated. Therefore would not come on for comfort. The room was hot
Tissue box had one tissue.
The whole complex felt dated and unkept and sad.
Food was overpriced and mediocre. My cloth napkin even had old stains.
The staff are top notch and so friendly, especially the valet parking attendants. Always a great experience with the staff. I also love it is connected to the convention center and Canon Center.
The staff in charge of towels need to check their towels better. We had one that could have stood to be replaced. We've stayed multiple times over the last few years and this is the first time we have had any concerns with the towels. Since it was only two of us, we just threw it to the side and used the others.
The beds in the room were awful. Experienced back pain the morning after overnight stay. The room was very much in need of new mattress.
Went for a cheer competition, but the pool was closed for renovations which was not convenient at all. Elevators were a nightmare being shutdown half the time.
Not being able to pay cash even with a card on file was silly. I’ve been to many, many hotels and never had that issue at all.
It was close/attached to the Convention Center of where they were hosting cheer competitions. Otherwise, would NOT recommend staying here.
Breakfast was either buffet or you could order off the menu; however, it was ridiculously over priced. A cup of milk cost $5.
Location is relatively close to Beale street and other downtown restaurants.
Hotel is very outdated and one of the double beds was lower to the ground because there were no bed rails. Bathroom had no toilet paper when we arrived. Not many amenities offered. Parking was again very expensive at $35/night whether you Valet or self park.
Location
Cleanliness , accommodations
I liked the location.
The staff were extremely rude. Our AC in our room was broken and it was brought to the staffs attention multiple times with no results. Housekeeping removed our wash cloths that we used and did not replace them. They put our wet used bath mat back onto the counter folded as to imply it was a new one (it was still very wet). I know these things are not extreme but I paid $550 for two nights.. there should be better service for that kind of money.
Very convenient to the convention center
Nothing everything was
Staff was very accommodating and wonderful. Great group of people work at this hotel.
Loud people at 3am, and no one made them quiet down! This is a one off I feel but super annoying.
The location was close to local attractions but it was not walkable. I would have appreciated a location where you could walk to places. Uber rides to restaurants were less than 10 minutes away.
Jerry, who worked at the Bell hop desk, was great! He gave me restaurant recommendations and stored my bags after checkout. The front desk was also kind enough to assist a relative in picking up my bags from the Bell hop. Thank you!
When I attempted to check in, I was told they couldn't find my reservation and that it was canceled. I showed the front desk staff my email confirmation and gave them the reservation # but they said they didn't see it on their end. The previous day I called booking.com Customer Service to change my room type to get a less expensive rate. From there, I received an email confirmation. However, the hotel still stated they didn’t have a reservation for me and suggested I call booking.com. As I was dialing, the manager came from the back office and was able to find my reservation. This caused a 30 minute delay.
Also I waited 15 mins for an elevator because there was a big conference at the convention center and folks were holding elevators. There was a line of us waiting for the elevator and we had no idea what was going on.
Lastly, the rooms were clean but the hotel is older and it shows. There was chipped paint in the elevators and hallways... looks like repairs are happening though.
