Barceló una hotel de excelencia de servicios en Guatemala City
Pros:

La ubicación, en Zona 9 y la cercanía con aeropuerto, suma mucho el trasporte que está esperando cuando una llega y luego de salida la organización y puntualidad para tomar el otro avión. Como teníamos que volver a Guatemala city luego de recorrer lugares de intereés, hicimos una reserva desde el teléfono de la habitación, y a la vuelta al hotel tuvimos servicio Premiun, que nos brindó comidas extras en toda hora, en la misma torre sin tener que movernos más allá de nuestro piso. Como veníamos muy cansadas fue muy ventajoso. Habremos estado unas 12 hrs extras

Cons:

Charged a small fortune for a non alcoholic drink from the bar. Just wanted a ginger beer. Instead got a custom fruit drink for the price of a high end alcoholic cocktail.

Large rooms and friendly staff with an efficient shuttle service.
Pros:

The Barcelo had friendly reception staff who made you feel very welcome, and we were able to check in well advance of the official check in time, which was great. The rooms were large, comfortable and the bathrooms had everything you needed (good lighting, magnifying mirror etc). We had a balcony, which although we didn't have much of a view due to being a low floor, was nice and peaceful to sit out on at the end of a busy day. Great value for money overall especially with the free shuttle provided to the airport (make sure to book in advance as seats are limited for the once an hour journey).

Cons:

The restaurants and bars on site are way too expensive, when a short 10-15 minute walk in any direction you can find much more affordable options. Our only other complaint was the breakfast buffet. It had a wonderful selection of diverse products (more than most hotels we have been to), but we must have timed it wrong as all the hot food was cold and seemingly not being replaced until the receptacles were empty.
