Beautiful hotel
Pros:

We spent one night at the hotel before joining another group for the rest of our vacation. The transport from the airport to the hotel was easy with the collective shuttle included in the price. We reconfirmed the shuttle the day before, and they had our details correctly saved and they were ready for us. The room was spacious and very clean. Tasty in room coffee. Bottled water. We had dinner at Strikers which was good. La Fuente restaurant's breakfast buffet had a huge, delicious selection of breakfast/brunch foods. Staff was friendly and most spoke English, if needed. Highly recommend this hotel.

Home away from home
Pros:

From the moment the smell transports you to a vacation even if you are working.
The decoration the attention to detail. Thai is my go to since 1994. I do cry when they are full and I have to choose a different hotel. Cannot go wrong period.

excellent ambiance
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with great view of the city and mountains. Close to popular areas of the city. Clean and comfortable rooms. Food choices a bit limited for vegetarians but otherwise great.

Cons:

El hotel es antiguo y no ha sido renovado (por experiencia, he visto que varios Barceló en otros países también están bajo condiciones similares). La alfombra de piso estaba bastante sucia y la tina de baño no drenaba bien. El ruido de la habitación adyacente no se aísla correctamente. El tipo de almohadas no es convencional, lo cual afecta el dormir en pareja.

Was expecting this to be one of the best hotel experiences of our trip - sadly it was the worst.
Pros:

Good location. Good room size. Good swimming pool. Good view.

Cons:

Very long check-in (30 minutes). Were going to charge me $10 just for opening the mini bar even if not having anything from it - and found that out by accident as wasn’t told. Electricity went off for an hour and a half, unable to use lifts etc - and we were on 9th floor - compensated with a free evening meal; from which 3 out of 4 of us got upset stomachs.
