The building and premises are beautiful, clean carpets in hallways and rooms, welcoming and professional staff. The room was lovely and comfy beds. We arrived late at night and appreciated the reception desk was 24/7 and informative. Breakfast was really nice. We had asked for vegetarian sausages but unfortunately the delivery had not arrived. Despite this there was a really good selection for vegetarians and we enjoyed it all. We had a walk across the green, after breakfast, before we set off for home. it was very nice.
it was all very nice. We asked for a quiet room but there were some inconsiderate guests in the nearby room, so no fault of the hotel.
Clean room…good facilities…comfortable…lovely food
La Palestra è molto ben attrezzata. Ragazzi alla Reception molto amichevoli.
Un paio di camerieri al ristorante non erano molto amichevoli.
Nosy staff
Compared to others around Bradford it is spectacular
It’s a bit tired and worn, things like wall paper peeling, railings thick with paint and showing where it’s run etc
All was fine. Not amazing but definitely adequate.
Food, especially dinners in restaurant could be of better quality.
Absolutely nice very clean and comfortable.
We loved everything
We stayed as we were attending a wedding locally. The room was spacious and well furnished and the bed was super comfortable (the pillows were too thick for me which is personal preference but a thinner option would have been nice). The staff were absolutely lovely, really friendly and helpful 😀 The grounds are beautiful, was lovely to watch the baby rabbits hopping about!
As mentioned, pillow options would have been nice
The external aspects and landscape were very impressive. It was an ideal location for our visit.
It’s very tired. The pictures on booking.com aren’t an accurate representation. The carpet in the room was sticky in places, the toilet seat was broken and the venue is very loud. Some staff would benefit from additional training to ensure a seamless and welcoming stay.
Prior to arriving I contacted the hotel, and initially received a response which was poorly written including spelling mistakes, and ignored my query.
On arrival, as we approached the front desk the member of staff ready to greet us stopped to answer the phone and left us waiting for over 5 minutes.
The hotel housekeeping only attend after the 3rd nights stay. Travelling with a baby makes this particularly unpleasant when you have a constant production of dirty nappies. I asked the housekeeping staff if they’d be kind enough to empty the bins in our room, whilst holding said baby - and was told it wasn’t our day to be done.
After spending some time explaining that it was unsanitary to keep dirty nappies in the room they eventually agreed to dispose of the already sealed rubbish bags.
Beautiful location. Well kept grounds
Staff seemed distracted, We were told breakfast had been swapped to close at 9;30 on a Saturday. This wasn't the case, communication a bit wobbly. Staff in Grill on the Hill a bit rude. Think we were an inconvenience. Double room but bed close to wall, no bedside table. Tricky if you need the loo in the night. Very clean but somewhat tired.
Great location
Nothing
A beautiful historic hotel set in stunning grounds with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented. The staff were welcoming and professional, making the stay enjoyable from check-in to departure. The spa and leisure facilities were a great addition, and the overall setting provided a perfect escape from the busy city.
Very little to dislike. Some areas of the hotel could benefit from a little modernisation, but this did not affect the overall experience.
