Disappointing stay didn't receive a perfectly excellent and enjoyable experience at the hotel.
Pros:

The pool was very enjoyable

Cons:

The staff made mistakes that reflected our stay, we were overcharged for breakfast by a member of staff, we didn't appreciate the breakfast voucher system which didn’t allow to discout children

Dog friendly staff, but the facilities available for guests with dog don't match up

I booked because the hotel is promoted as dog-friendly. Most staff were helpful and friendly. But see below

Cons:

Whilst the hotel is promoted as dog-friendly, its facilities fall short. Pets cannot be left in rooms on their own, and are not allowed in the breakfast restaurant. The very limited location for breakfast with dog is ok only if you are the only person in the hotel with a dog and you are served by a waiter/tress. That worked on my first morning, not on my second when the male staff member told me that wasn't possible because he had staff problems and was busy. In fact there were few people in the restaurant and two waitresses in sight. I had to chain my dog to a table to serve myself breakfast. The staff member's job was to serve me, not tell me why he couldn't. There's a staff training issue there the hotel needs to address. In any event the limited space available for breakfast with dog (only one available table) is a challenge if there are several people with several dogs wanting breakfast at the same time. The hotel needs to rethink this.
