Reception staff not friendly on check in, all matter of fact i was staying two nights so informed they wont make up room, i asked about change of towels was told to ask next morning,so i paid two nights but they were only wishing to clean once….

Fabulous grounds. Shocking staff attitudes (not all staff but senior staff) . Trying to remove us from the bridal suite

Lovely location, clean and tidy, good food and services.
Pros:

Clean, big rooms and good in room facilities.
Bar and restaurant facilities very good.
We sat outside for an evening drink with friends- staff attentive in bringing outside chair cushions.

Cons:

Asked for room service from the restaurant to our room- which after some deliberation was agreed, unfortunately no support in carrying several plates / cutlery/ drinks etc back to the room (myself and my son
Really struggled).
At breakfast- (which was great food and variety) members of staff stood in earshot discussing loudly their concerns and conversations with management and arguments between the team. We felt very awkward.

Pros:

The hotel is clean we stayed in the Ilkley suite and on the ground floor. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet and very nice. We were there for a wedding and the food was delicious.

Cons:

Think the windows on the outside could have done with a cleaning, but other than that, it was perfect
