Our room was perfect , the facilities are extremely good. Everywhere was clean and comfortable.
The property was absolutely fine.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and immediately sort an alternative room for us, when they realised that they had given us an inappropriate positioned room. Their responsiveness was appreciated, but the first alternative was still inappropriate for my needs. The receptionist, was marvellous at finally finding accommodation that worked for us and they took care of everything whilst we went out for the day.
I had a confirmation 9 weeks in advantance of our stay to confirm that they had updated their reservation system to show our specfic requirements. On the evening of our arrival, this unfortunately became very obvious this hadn't happened and their system didn't show the request and their acknowledgement of it. That first night was extremely difficult for myself, even with my husband's help, as he was juggling luggage too.
Lovely hotel
I liked the feel of the place and the area.
The bathroom in the room we were in was like something from the 60’s. Which is disappointing when you see the rest of the room hallways etc.

Pillows were too hard. Lovely stay but the pillows were not comfortable.

The grounds at the Marriot where beautiful and the room was very clean.
I found the Marriot outdated for the price. I also found the hotel very noisy. Maybe it was because my room wasn’t far from the elevator.
The pool was excellent; it was large, so it was good for lane swimming. The jacuzzi pool as also nice as were the steam room and sauna. There were also good changing facilities including lockers.
The parking was not very well managed. The hotel carpark provision was often very full; I suspect it was being used by members of the country club. Some people were also parking on the pavement along the driveway making it somewhat dangerous for pedestrians.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was amazing.
