Pros:

Location is perfect, particularly with the cold weather. You don’t have to walk far from the station

Cons:

All the facilities in the hotel you have to pay on top of your rate which makes to stay in the hotel is quite boring. It is very unusual in Japan that you need to pay extra to be able to use the gym etc. Also the breakfast price for the hotel guests are not friendly at all.

Absolute steal in a beautiful seaside area of Chiba
Pros:

The hotel was in a really beautiful part of Chiba Prefecture, only a 30 minute train journey from Tokyo Station and about an hour from both Shibuya and Ikebukuro. The rooms were small but comfortable, and the staff were some of the kindest I ever met!

Cons:

It can't be helped that the windows couldn't open, seeing as we were on the 14th floor, but the room got very stuffy with two of us in it.
