Absolutely terrible!!! I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and I was so disappointed to see how much this place has gone down hill. Decided to stay here for Valentines Day with my wife, the first night the bath tub would not drain and the faucet leaked all night - called housekeeping immediately they said they would send someone up right away - however no one showed up - the second night the lights in the room blinked on and off all night long - immediately called housekeeping to alert them of the problem - they said once again that they would send someone right up - of course once again no one showed - the next morning I ran into a manager at the elevator and showed him the video of the lights going on and off in the room and he laughed and said "Yea we have been having problems with ghosts" and that was it. When I checked out I once again explained the problems we had with the room two nights of our stay and was told that they would credit our bill 30% for our trouble - that was the third lie I was told and of course they billed the full amount. I would be disappointed if this was a Motel 6 but to get this kind of experience at a Peninsula Hotel in New York for $700 a night and to be repeatedly lied to is an embarrassment - NEVER AGAIN PENINSULA!! to many options in New York to be treated this way. Strongly suggest you stay somewhere else where they have respect for their guests.

Spent a few days at this property and really enjoyed it. Location is good for Midtown and shopping. Service was pretty good, rooms can vary a lot depending on category but all are very nice and nicely updated.
Not a lot of lobby space but restaurants were very good. Would recommend and come back.

We had the most dreamy Christmas stay, and things have improved so much since our last visit. I honestly can’t explain just how amazing this Christmas was. It was so special that it’s inspired us to book a stay at The Peninsula in London next.
The rooms in New York were absolutely stunning, and the surprise champagne and chocolate covered strawberries on arrival were such a lovely touch. The spa was beautiful, the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and the doormen were incredible, especially during such a busy festive season. They were always helpful and attentive.
The in room body and hair products were fantastic, and every detail felt thoughtfully considered. The lobby at Christmas was simply divine, magical, festive, and truly breathtaking.
In room dining was really nice, the burger and the egg fried rice were so good. Honestly, amazing. Breakfast was great too, but I don’t think it’s good value for money. We ordered in room dining breakfast for $180, and it was basically four pieces of toast, an English muffin, two eggs, two slices of bacon, some potatoes, and a juice. Tasty, but very expensive for what you get. Think $20 for a bowl of cereal and $10 for a glass of milk, lol.
We spent four wonderful nights here and loved every moment. Thank you for such an unforgettable stay. We would absolutely visit again in the future.
Arlene and the catering staff - David, Jose, Roly and Hector were the very best! This is our third year doing business at The Peninsula and we will surely be back again.
Everything!
Nothing.
There is no ambiance or sitting areas in the lobby. The lobby bar was "closed for the season". The renovations were not comprehensive. Great property and staff.
Everything. Location was super but mostly staff are amazing especially at front desk and reception. Stephanie Colovic was amazing and so nice and welcoming.
Nothing as everything was super. Stephanie Colovic at front desk was superb and makes your stay special from the moment you step in the hotel.
L’emplacement
Lamentable
Top notch luxury and prime location for the Christmas season. Pleasant staff. Near the major attractions of Rockefeller Center, Central Park, ice skating, and luxury shopping.
