This hotel has been on my list to stay at for quite awhile so I was excited to try it out. We arrived at about 3:45 and we knew that check in was at 4 but thought the room might be ready since it was so close. It wasn't which was fine and we were told that it should be ready by 4. There was a trainee helping us and she was friendly but then another staff member came over to assist us and I didn't find her to be very friendly. It wasn't the service that I would expect from a hotel of this caliber. We were texted at 4 so we went back to pick up our room key. We had a city view but we were very disappointed as our room was on the 8th floor and had an ugly roof blocking a lot of the view.
The room was pretty average. I liked that the bathroom door could close on the whole bathroom or just the toilet. I thought that was a cool feature. We had a problem with our TV remote at one point with it not changing channels properly and we couldn't turn the TV off. We called but they took awhile to come so we finally left the room but the issue was fixed when we returned.
We were disappointed when we returned to our room in the afternoon after being gone all day and found that housekeeping hadn't come. They finally came at 3:45 and were able to come clean the room while we were gone for dinner. I've never stayed at a hotel where the housekeeping is done so late in the day.
The other staff members that we came in contact with were hit or miss. Some of them were friendly as we passed them in the halls, others just ignored us.
Overall it was a bit of a disappointing experience and we won't be back as there are so many great hotels in Vancouver that we've stayed at.
Very central, clean room. Well maintained. Helpful staff.
I expected a bit more luxury but that’s not to say that the experience wasn’t great.
My friend and I had a great experience at the Pan Pacific Bar. Our server — Dawn - was perfect. She anticipated our every need. Wine was good. Frites were crispy. And she even remembered my glass of ice! Thank you Dawn!

The man greeting us on reception was lovely and friendly. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Staff serving were very attentive.
The tap on the shower was a square and difficult to turn on and off.
We had such a wonderful experience at Pan Pacific and a big part of that was thanks to William at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, he was genuinely welcoming. He went out of his way to secure us a fantastic room and he took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions with patience, and made sure we felt completely comfortable.
William 5*👍
The hotel’s central location is another huge advantage. Being right by Canada Place makes it incredibly convenient to explore the waterfront, restaurants, shops, and downtown attractions all within walking distance.
We had a wonderful one night getaway in a Pacific Club room. Incredible harbour view, super comfortable bed. The Pacific Lounge was a lovely spot to relax between activities. Breakfast had an abundance of choices and great bacon. All staff are friendly, and the icing on the cake, literally, was the delicious piece of cake for our anniversary which was left in our room.
Location and view are great.
We had a wonderful stay at the Pan Pacific Vancouver and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were celebrating my husband’s milestone birthday, and the hotel truly went above and beyond. They surprised us with a beautiful cake, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. Upon check-in, we were also pleasantly surprised with two complimentary drink tickets, which made us feel immediately welcomed. Our room had a very nice view, adding to the overall experience and making our stay even more special.
Every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. You could really feel their commitment to excellent service.
Highly recommended. A truly wonderful and memorable experience. We would absolutely stay here again!
Great location. Really beautiful view of harbour & North Vancouver & Grouse Mountain in distance. Easy walk to city, Gastown, Seabus terminal, Stanley Park.
Just thought double beds small for two people, but it appears to be standard.
Rooms were large and very comfortable. Had all the amenities: small fridge, safe, robe, umbrella, etc. Even had a bathroom scale. My room had a nice view of downtown Vancouver and some of the harbour.
Staff were friendly and the room was very clean. The first day, the room wasn’t cleaned until after 6:00
PM. The 2nd day, a strange thing happened. They took my shower curtain. Not sure why but I didn’t even notice until the next morning. They brought it back that day after I showered without it.
Hotel has an outdoor pool and hot tub. It’s warm enough to swim most days even in winter, but bring your robe.
This is part of a large complex attached to Canada Place, the cruise ship terminal, convention centre, etc. Lobby is on the 2nd floor and concierge on the 1st floor.
They have restaurants, bars, a spa, etc. all on site.
It’s right on the harbour in downtown Vancouver so lots to see and do. I recommend Carderos for seafood even though it’s a (lovely) 15 minute walk.
Absolutely beautiful property! The lobby overlooks the water and has an excellent restaurant and bar. We were upgraded to a city-view suite, which was incredible, and the bed and pillows were so luxurious. We would definitely stay here again!
Unfortunately we weren’t given very good directions for parking when we arrived, as it was our first time staying at this property. We were told to park at the end of the lot near the elevator and had to walk all the way back ( a very long walk with bags). We then realized there was an elevator at the other end of the parking lot that enters into the lobby. But small blip on our amazing stay!
