Location is good - right in the centre of Dublin.
Breakfast was also good and people serving were nice and helpful.
Servers (no males serving) at dinner were equally nice and helpful.
1st of all, you could see nothing out the windows in the room we got.
Then, reception men (didn't see any women working there) were not nice. None of them! Not the ones the day we arrived and certainly not the one at the end.
When we arrived, we were asked for 100 euro EXTRA. When I asked what that was for, we were told it was to cover dinner and any extras we might request. Because of this, which had never happened to me and I travelled all over Europe and stayed in most Dublin hotels throughout the years, I decided to have a look at the reviews for this hotel and realised that a lot of reviewers complained that they NEVER got their money back!!! So I decided to have dinner at the hotel to make sure that most of the EXTRA money I gave them would be spent for our own advantage. Little did I know that, for 2 people, a simple meal of mains + desert would end up costing 97 Euro! We're in Dublin, I thought, so that should be OK, and at least most of my 100 euro were for that!
Unusual things that happened;
1. at around 5pm was that a girl opened our bedroom door and said she had to clean it. We were surprised because we thought the room was clean and we actually even had to wait in reception to get the room because they were cleaning it earlier on, so I just don't get it why it needed to be cleaned again just 2 hours afterwards. We were actually resting after a drive 4 hour drive, so this knock on the door was definitely not welcome!
2. when we finished our dinner, we went to reception to have our parking ticket stamped since it would allow us to get parking for just 20 euro. The guy at reception stamped the ticket, but could not stop coughing right in front of us, without even attempting to turn back while doing it.
For a FIVE star hotel, I find the behaviour of these gentlemen working there extremely lacking in the most basic human interaction.
The location was right in the center, which I usually try to avoid because its so hectic, but the room was a perfect oasis away from the craziness. Modern room, very bright when needed, very dark when needed. The staff is absolutely exceptional, they have done an excellent job to keep everyone engaged and it truly shows through. The room itself was very zen, it was designed with comfort and relaxation as a clear focal point, felt very much welcoming.
The breakfast was good enough, but it didn't have an edge over competition that is so close nearby. The hotel offered no amenities. It wasn't clear if there was a spot to just have a drink without being in the restaurant. Outside restaurant hours the room service menu is quite limited. The photos for booking did not immediately make it clear what the differences were between room types, or layouts.
Ubicación y comodidades del hotel.
Great location, short walk or bike ride to many attractions.
Very friendly and helpful.staff.
Fantastic room, enormous bed
Check in was a breeze with friendly staff and an early check in - which i was very grateful for.
My room was super spacious, clean and had everything i needed.
Bathroom was set up nicely and i loved the shampoo/ conditioner/ hand wash/ body lotion sets... i think it was called "Aromatherapy " ?
Breakfast was a hive of activity but the waitstaff were excellent and found a table for me without too much wait. The breakfast itself was delicious and came super fast.
I found it to be in a good location - although i do not know Dublin very well so not sure...
I liked that they had a bottle of water in the room that you could fill for free from a unique water filling station downstairs.
I looked in at the gym but didn't use it, it seemed to have the essentials.
The coffee was tasty but pretty tepid when it arrived.
10/10 property, location amazing
