Handy for stay but won’t be staying again
Pros:

Central location

Cons:

Our first room had a leak in the bathroom and we had to be moved. Which staff did sort. New room however had an uneven floor. The bathroom was an accessible one which is fine. But it wasn’t very clean and floor flooded. Room faced onto the main road with a nightclub across the road.

Nice hotel, would probably stay again but wont upgrade the room choice
Pros:

Fantastic location, right in the centre of town.
As its 1 of the oldest hotels, its goes without saying that floor boards creek and wardrobes slant.
The character of the building, is one of the reasons we booked there.

20% off parking.
24hrs cost £18.80
Lace Market Carpark is a 2 minute walk away.

Cons:

Paid for a standard king room and believe we had a smaller double room allocated to us.

Room 215 had was rubbish view, just a brick wall; but i guess thats the risk you take with hotels.

The check-in desk was unattended, had to ring a mobile and wait for someone to come to check us in.
After driving to get to the hotel, that last thing you want is to be hanging around with nowhere to sit.

Great value room in central location
Pros:

Great value for money. Air con was a bonus as visited during a heatwave. Friendly staff. Quiet room, basic but clean. Plentiful shower gel, shampoo etc and a good shower.

Cons:

Parking even with 20% discount was £14.40 which adds quite a bit to the cost. Double Bed sloped left to right which was a bit odd. No bedside lights, there was a wall mounted light above the bed but we couldn’t locate a switch anywhere.
