Disappointing stay
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Broken shower doors, hot tap literally gives a dribble of water, conditioner bottle in shower empty, mattress and pillows not good, staff not at reception when we went to check out (sign saying 'back soon' left at desk but took ages for her to come back as she'd been 'helping with breakfast' - at a common time for checking out!). Not the best experience at all. Not worth £157 a night.

Comfortable and quite stay in the middle of town.
Pros:

Great location in the centre of Nottingham with many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The hotel building is one of the oldest hotel buildings in Nottingham. There are lots of photos on the walls of famous guests over the years. The hotel is quite with minimal traffic noise as most of the surrounding streets are pedestrian zones. The breakfast was substantial and enjoyable.

Cons:

The hotel has some uneven floors due to it's age. My room had an uneven floor which meant that my bed was sloped. As it happened, while it initially felt a bit odd to lie on, I slept very well.

Poor
Pros:

Tired. Poor coffee. Staff had no knowledge of local area. Room small with no opening window next to external fire escape stairs. Gym adequate but tired. Generally shabby with awful smell of BO in the lift. Ugh

Pros:

We liked the location as it was on easy walking distance of the city centre and the staff were friendly and helpful

Cons:

The tap in our room was wobbly, the bathroom door couldn’t open fully because it hit the bottom of the bed and there were cobwebs on the ceiling and around the window frame, the window looked out onto a brick wall
