It was nice and affordable with a gym in the hotel. Although, I did not like the smell of the room
Cons:

The smell of the room. It had an unpleasant smell. The windows could not be opened to air it out.

I’d go again but only for convenience and with a cheaper rate due to my experience I have photos that I sent at the time
Pros:

Convenient

Cons:

Dirty bedding, no loo roll, cups unclean and one fork one plate, just dirty, floor not been cleaned, I cleaned when I was there

Itchy!
Pros:

Beautiful building with lots of historical history.

Cons:

Bed bugs! We had to leave after finding bed bugs in the bed and on the sofa.

Id book somewhere cheaper next time
Pros:

The staff were lovely. The area was spot on.

Cons:

We stayed in room 103. The mattress was absolutely disgusting. Hidden by a quilt. I think for £130 a night breakfast should be included. We pretty much payed for the decor.

A no-frills, comfortable stay in a central location.
Pros:

The room was cute and cosy with nice design touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable - I slept really well! Location was really central, with lots of good restaurants just steps away. Checkout was easy, with just a keycard to drop off.

Cons:

The hotel only recently rebranded, so it still says 'Mercure' outside, which was confusing - I was walking up and down for a few minutes before going inside to ask where 'my' hotel was, only to be told that this was, in fact, it! The kettle in my room didn't work, which was heartbreaking in the morning! The property is advertised as having parking, and it was only after I booked that I was informed that parking was in fact in a nearby multi-storey carpark, with a discount available for hotel guests - that was a little annoying.

Pros:

Everything it was just 2 mini walk up the same road to the Arts Theatre to see a show. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room had air con, very clean and tidy. There was extra touches like cartons of water and biscuits as well as tea and coffee. Staff were very welcoming and on hand if needed

Cons:

I only wished I'd stayed longer

Pros:

Super quick check in. Deal with nearest car park. Clean comfortable and always staff around when you need one. Bang in the middle of town without having to stay in one of the enormous faceless corporate hotels.

Basic hotel in a great location
Pros:

Rooms are basic but comfortable. Decor a little dated. First room we were given hadn't been laundered after the last guests. Brilliant location. Car part just around the corner discounted cost via hotel.

Cons:

First room we were given hadn't been laundered after the last guests. There are a lot of stair to sub stores within each floor, which isn't great when carrying luggage

Not advisable to book stay needs updating
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Unfortunately, we did not continue with our stay at this hotel. The description and images online did not match the property that we attended which resulted in us leaving and booking another hotel at short notice.
