Rooms in need of a good overhaul. No water in room - unbelievable, my biggest complaint. Laminate coming off the toilet door at bottom...Carpets in need of a good wash. Tv stations poor no chromecast option. Hand soap terrible. No facecloth. Bathroom bin needs replacing. Windows let every sound through

Perfect stylish hotel for families travelling with small children and plently to keep everyone happy
Pros:

We travelled as a family of four for a two night stay with small children . Alll the staff at the Connaught were extremely friendly helpfull and good humoured. The food restaraunt and bar are beautifully decorated and well laid out . The bar provided a wide range of drinks and cocktails and the bar manager in particular is an asset to the hotel . The pool facilities and gym are really nice also with plenty of space . The childrens club was definately the highlight of our stay and and the staff were amazing . We found ourselves rushing back to the hotel to make sure they didnt miss out on the activities , we have older children at home who would never attend the kids clubs as they found them boring.

Cons:

Our room was quiet cramped as all the family rooms were fully booked on my time of booking and we opted for a campbed for one of the children but this was to be expected .

Pros:

We were delighted to be upgraded to an apartment/suite with separate sitting room and a kitchenette.
That was great as it was two parents and a teen so everyone had their space.
The pool area was large with a couple of reserved lanes so good for swimmers and families.
Enjoyed the steam room.
Staff were really helpful and friendly.
At first, I thought it was a little far out of the city, but there was a pleasant 15 min walk, so it was grand.
Great band in the bar on Saturday night and fun family friendly atmosphere.

Cons:

The sauna was excessively hot.
There was a strawberry fragrance and sticks bottle in the sitting room which was overpowering and I wondered if it was to cover something up.
The rooms were clean and comfortable though decor was a little tired.
Maybe a little expensive for a 3 star.

Still we had a lovely time.
