Comfu beds nice and clran
The room and bathroom were adequate for my needs and were very clean (except for the towel rail which was very dirty).
The day I stayed there was a large event being held in the function room which disrupted the restaurant. On arrival I was told the restaurant opened at 5pm. When I went down at 6.30pm it was not open. I was told it would open in 15 minutes.
It only opened at 7pm, blaming the event for the delay.
Also the doors to the function room were left open and the noise from the entertainment was excessively loud and was not condusive to a quiet, relaxed meal.
When I ordered my food, both items were "out of stock" due to the event.
I spoke with the manager who was most apologetic, blaming this on inexperienced new staff. He cancelled the charge for my meal as compensation.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on it
The room we had was very tired/dated & dingy. The curtains were hanging off the rails & the nets were dirty & didn't fit the window. The bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade, the tiles are awful the shower not up to standard & the tiles/decor are awful. Holes had been filled with foam but not trimmed off & made to look good. No plug in the sink so water just running down the hole being wasted. The single beds we had didn't look inviting dingy whiteish duvets on them & the pillows were rock hard & not comfortable at all. No phone in the room so no way of contacting reception should you need to or in an emergency. If I ever return to Northampton I will not be staying at this hotel...we paid £98 for two nights it was not worth it I'd rather pay double that somewhere else just to feel clean & comfortable. Total let down
