It was very quiet and comfortable
The staff were very friendly and attentive!
The coffee machine and snacks machine in the bar area were not working and it took nearly 15 minutes to produce a jug of milk, hot water and coffee and sugar sachets.
The basic bedroom looked rather shabby with patched up floor boards and skirting. It would have been better and more welcoming with fitted carpet. Also , the mattress seemed very 'bouncy' and was obviously quite old. We were in room 610, which seemed to be the furthest from reception and up many stairs and a round a lot of corners. Although we're not disabled, my partner and I are 76 & 77 and not as agile as we used to be! As there only appeared to be approx half a dozen guests staying, I don't know why we couldn't stay nearer reception.
Nice settings, reasonable price, staff very helpful, meals were good & the room was nice & warm
If we what to picky probably the room carpet could be cleaner & the bed mattresses could be firmer.

The noise of something scurrying about in the ceiling or a dog in the room above,lots of tiny midges

The smell as you walked into the room. And the disturbance at night meaning we had no sleep. We have complained. Also the breakfast was awfull
Stayed here when bridging a business trip from north to south. Exceeded expectations in all areas. Staff were helpful, room was nicer than expected and the location was great. Quiet and felt safe

My breakfast was not good my bacon was burnt and coffee was warm not hot and was not gd I paid 13 pounds for my breakfast and my room didn't have any heating on the room was cold this morning

The room was more like a hostel than a hotel ... no hot water pressure, barely able to have a shower, bath impossible ... I booked and payed for two nights but only stayed one ... no proper arrangements for breakfast (7:30 to 8:30 on a weekend???).
