Disappointed. Paying guests deserve more attention
Cons:

We arrived at The Ship Inn at around 4pm on Sunday afternoon, where upon we found no ‘reception desk’ just an unmanned terminal where there were no staff. Eventually a member of the restaurant staff quizzically asked us is she could help. We were given directions to room 8 and left to our own devices. We were asked if we had booked directly or via booking .com…this seemed to make a difference as our booking.com room was at the back of the Inn and also breakfast was not included, this was not made clear at the time of booking. The room itself was small with no furniture, the shower height only usually for people under 5’8’’ tall.
No bedside cabinet, each side literally having a shelf the size of a hardback book. At the point of booking we made the Inn aware that one member was GF, no GF biscuits were made available.
The bed was comfy but very small, I am 6’ 4’’ tall.
After visiting sick relatives we got back to the Inn, around 10.30pm to find it in darkness, having apparently closed at 10pm. With no arrivals brief this came as a shock and surprise, we also had to try several doors before we could gain entry. An info book in the room would be a start.
We paid £117 for this experience and are not happy.

Very friendly beach front location that is completely dog friendly
Pros:

Second time we have visited and the location is excellent. The staff are always really friendly and I love the detail that goes in to each room. It is completely dog friendly (rather than ‘pets allowed’) with bowls of water located in different areas and dogs are allowed in the dining area which makes a big difference when you are a solo traveller

Noisy refrigeration unit going 24/7 outside window
No proper reception or check in/out
No information in room

Nice, friendly hotel on the sea front
Pros:

We had a nice large room, clean and comfortable. We had lunch in the restaurant (crab sandwiches) which were nice. Breakfast was very nice, full English freshly made

Cons:

We had dinner in the restaurant. We both had fish and chips, I had cod, my partner had plaice. Although the chips were nice, we were both disappointed with the fish. The batter was tough and overwhelmed the fish, which seemed overcooked

Beautiful sea views
Pros:

The sea views friendly staff, beautiful garden to enjoy the scenery. Clean bedroom

Cons:

I booked in the restaurant for 7pm, when I got there they didn’t have my reservation so had to eat in bar, which I didn’t like, I wasn’t offered another time just told it’s the bar or that’s it, that did put me off.

An excellent night and a good centre for exploring Norfolk.
Pros:

Mundesley isn't the most picturesque place on the north Norfolk coast, but the beach below the hotel is dramatic and the hotel itself excellent; cheerful staff and very good dinner and breakfast. Easy parking.

Cons:

Bed a bit soft for my taste.

Very dog friendly, staff very welcoming and great location on the beach
Pros:

Delicious breakfast. Great selection and choice
Staff delightful. Very welcoming to us and our dog and most helpful whenever we needed
Location right on the beach was amazing and I can imagine if the weather is good it's gorgeous
Restaurant was very good. Excellent fresh fish

Cons:

The "cozy" double room was just too small. There was no storage at all and we could barely move around. The carpet had also seen better days

Pros:

Facing the street the wi Dow should have had net curtains as you could only have darkness with blinds down or have everyone looking into the room

Cons:

As above
