I had a pleasant stay at Metro Points Hotel thanks to the excellent front desk staff. Kimlee was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful, and Nora went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly during my stay. Their professionalism and kindness truly stood out and made my experience a positive one. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on the great customer service.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel when I visited in December. From the moment I arrived, the experience was welcoming and seamless. The front desk staff, especially Kimlee, truly stood out. She was extremely hospitable, professional, and clearly knew what she was doing. She made the check-in process smooth and was very accommodating whenever I had questions or needed assistance.
The hotel itself was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The common areas were comfortable and inviting, and the rooms were excellent—very clean, well laid out, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. Overall, the combination of great service, especially from Kimlee, and the quality of the space made my stay very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.
I stayed at the Metro Points Hotel for a week. The property has its pros and cons and is decent for the price.
The Wi-Fi, despite being advertised as “high-speed,” was slow. Breakfast and dinner options were limited. The furniture in the rooms seem of second-hand, with visible chips and wear.
That said, the housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the rooms clean, though the worn furniture makes the overall experience feel a bit questionable. Customer service was a highlight — the overnight staff member was helpful, and the front desk associate was especially kind, offering useful directions and recommendations for nearby restaurants.
One minor note: the lobby feels overcrowded with decor, which makes the space feel a bit cluttered.
Overall, it’s an acceptable stay if you’re looking for affordability and decent service, but there’s room for improvement.
The lobby gives the impression that the rooms have been fully renovated, which is not entirely accurate. While the rooms themselves appear somewhat updated, the bathrooms were not. The room was clean, which was a plus; however, the chipped tub and old caulking around the tub raised concerns.
Nora, the manager, assured me the rooms were clean and even had the housekeeping manager, Sakura, accompany me to view two other rooms. Customer service and cleanliness were definite positives.
The hotel should consider adjusting its restaurant operations and possibly closing it until it is properly staffed and fully stocked, as the current situation creates false expectations.
We would return in the future, hopefully, the tubs are repaired and the restaurant is operating with full service.
Subject: Commendation for Exceptional Service – Nora
Dear, General Manager
I am writing to share my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service I received from Nora at your front desk during my stay in mid-December of 2025. Ever though, the hotel was receiving some internal changes - from the moment I arrived, Nora made me feel incredibly welcome and provided valuable information. Specifically, I was impressed by her overall customer services with her knowledge of local amenities. Her professionalism and positive attitude truly set a high standard for your team or for any other company.
In over 40 years of encountering public service personnel, it is exceptional to find such dedicated service, and Nora is a significant asset to your hotel. I hope this excellence is formally recognized within her performance evaluation and personnel record.
I want to give a big shout out to the front desk staff-they are amazing. They always greet you with a warm smile and are consistently willing to address any question or concern you may encounter. Nora is always so cheerful—she has the perfect attitude for the job. Kim is so kind, and keeps you updated on everything going on in the area…and Devin is willing to go the extra mile making sure to follow up with my request(s). I’ve stayed here a few times and will continue to return. I’ve also suggested this hotel to my family and friends.
The location is Excellent you can easily do your Business in DC, Virginia or even Baltimore from Metro Point Hotel New Carrollton MD. The Staff are friendly right from front desk to Management. Any issues are resolved with dispatch. Worthy of mention is the Operations Manager Nora who is mobile accessible and available with right answers to your questions. I have made contact with one other great guy Kim Davis.

Manager Nora and her entire team were outstanding—professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive to guest needs. From check-in to check-out, they went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and that I felt welcome and valued. It’s clear that Nora leads by example, and her team reflects that high standard of hospitality.
My family and I stayed at the Metro Points Hotel for a weekend getaway this past Saturday and Sunday. Our experience was a mix of genuinely excellent service and some noticeable misses, particularly around breakfast.
First, the standout positive: the front desk team. From check-in to check-out, they provided a consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful face. Kim at the front desk was exceptionally cheerful and efficient upon our arrival. Devin was also very helpful with directions and local recommendations throughout our stay. Their professionalism made a great first and lasting impression.
However, our experience at the hotel's restaurant, specifically during breakfast, was unstable and fell short. The food selection and quality were not the best, which was disappointing. More notably, the service was lacking. During breakfast, a staff member (a lady) was sitting in the breakfast area on her phone. She didn't offer to help, refill items, or clear tables, which created an unwelcoming atmosphere for guests trying to enjoy their meal. This was a stark contrast to the engagement of the front desk team.
Nora, the Manager, was visible and clearly dedicated, which we appreciated. Her team at the front is a real asset.
In summary, the hotel has a strong foundation thanks to its frontline staff. With some attention to the consistency and engagement of the breakfast service, this could be a truly excellent stay. We hope our feedback is helpful.
I’ve had a positive experience with Metro Points Hotel, when I stayed during an extended power outage in my neighborhood and truly needed a place to go. Because it was a stressful time, I appreciated that the front desk staff was welcoming, kind, and extremely helpful. Particularly, Devin and Bryan were professional and friendly, and Nora, the Operations Manager, went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Customer service like that is very important to me, and one of the reasons why I recommend this hotel.
Over price it thinks it’s Hilton but it’s old and run down not updated all the furniture is chips and dent in them! The service is not upfront with anything before you check in
