Everything
Smells amazing and looks incredible when entering the Hotel.
Staff very informative, helpful and friendly.
Lots of history in this hotel.
Very clean corridors and spacious.
Unfortunately the rooms weren't, they were small, mo dressing table, no mirror apart from the mirror on the wardrobe where the plug socket it half way across from it so not easy to dry hair or apply make up.
No bath just a shower but it was a good powerful shower with toiletries supplied.
Toilet was separate from the bathroom , with a small basin. Very modern toilet with heated seat etc.
Bed was comfortable, room was cold.
Stains on the carpet.
View from window was looking directly into the rooms opposite.
Drinks and food in the mini bar were very overpriced, 4 pounds for a kit kat.
Towels were hard.
This is a lovely hotel, very clean and the location is superb, walking distance to Buckingham palace etc and to be fair reasonably priced for where it is.
We had a king-size room but in reality it was no bigger than a normal standard double so that is why we were disappointed with our stay and because of the amenities in the room.
The lady who checked us in and the front office manager Philip Lee are in my opinion a credit to the hotel, and did there best to rectify any problems we had.
We enjoyed our stay here as a family. The customer service was excellent from the doorman to the restaurant staff. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of option over the five days that we were there. It is conveniently located within walking distance to many tourist attractions. There is a train station nearby and its easy for car services to pickup or dropoff right outside the door. The room itself was a bit small for a family of three but everything else made up for that. I would definitely stay here again.
What a fabulous centrally located hotel, smells divine as soon as you walk in. We actually didn’t stay here but did the tour of the hotel. Very informative and interesting with a nod obviously to the Metropolitan Police, there’s also a display of wonderful art, The Koestler Arts supporting ex-prisoners handmade art. Definitely worth doing this tour, highly recommend.
Overall an amazing hotel. You are greeted by friendly staff as soon as you walk in the door. A lobby staff member I’d like to highlight is Moe. He took the time each day to make conversation with our party, and took the time to learn about us. He remembered things we discussed throughout our different conversations and provided excellent recommendations throughout the city. The conversations were genuine and you could tell he really cared. The atmosphere of the hotel pulled in the history of the city while still providing a luxury feel. I wish we could have enjoyed a meal at the hotel, but we did not have time. The common areas and restaurants looked amazing. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and updated. The hotel is in a central location, so we were able to walk to different areas of the city without needing to go too far.
Excellent experience at Ekstedt for brunch. Leo and his team look after us very well
Amazing hotel! Beautiful family rooms that were spacious and felt very luxurious! Hotel is in a prime location for walking everywhere! Would highly recommend for families and would definitely stay again!
Everything was great, the staff across the board exceeded expectations, food & drinks were good. Rooms were comfortable and the location was great.
I had a fantastic experience at Great Scotland Yard. The hotel is iconic, they had super cool memorabilia, and lovely touches like a speakeasy bar with a door that opened when you touched the right spot in the wall.
The service was delightful. All the staff were consistently attentive and thoughtful, I’d certainly come back again.
My mother and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel in February 2026. We shared a premium room with two twins, and while compact, it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. The breakfast was phenomenal, with attentive servers who remembered us and our coffee orders by the end of our stay. The location was wonderful, within walking distance to sights, museums, and shopping. I look forward to visiting again!
Exquisite and luxurious. We had the most wonderful stay. Exceptional customer service. The staff were so warm, friendly and attentive. Absolutely love the decor and history that’s been incorporated throughout the hotel. Room was beautiful, quiet and exceptionally clean. We had English tapas in the stunning 40 elephants bar, dinner in Ekstedt and drinks in the Sibin Speakeasy bar. Food was incredible and loved the extensive range of cocktails and wines. If you’re a whiskey lover, the Sibin bar is a must! We will definitely return. Thank you to everyone at the GSY for such an enjoyable and memorable stay.
