Second stay here! Good compromise. Great staff, great breakfast!
Pros:

Spacious rooms, great breakfast, parking space. Good location to visit Santa Clara and surroundings.

Cons:

Ground floor rooms but noisy and no curtains to let some light in, only shutters.

Cons:

The staff in front desk was really rude. They charge a $200 deposit for any incidents after they refund your money back within FIFTEEN DAYS. Could never and will never book with this hotel company EVER. Had the worst experience. If anyone is in the area or looking to book I suggest looking somewhere else or renting an air bnb

Doable accommodation close to Santa Clara U
Pros:

I chose Best Western University Inn because I had to attend an event for admitted students @ Santa Clara University. It's super close to the campus and in close proximity to a lot of eateries. Accommodation is doable. I can tell it was newly remodeled. Bed and pillows are comfortable for a good night's rest. We were there for 2 nights. The pool was closed til April.

Breakfast was doable. Omelette, potatoes edges, make your own waffles, biscuit, cereal, yogurt, apple and orange juice were available. You can also request for toiletries like toothbrush and tooth paste if you've forgotten to bring yours. Sink was situated outside the bathroom so one can brush and wash while another person is using the restroom.
