Try your best to avoid this place at all cost!! I been waiting Since September 2025 for my $200+ deposit back. Its March 2026 now and i still haven't received it. I called multiple times. They told me they release the money back to my card. Come to find out they send it to the wrong card then hang up on me while trying to work stuff out with them. Months went by I've called again and again to get my money back because im disabled... Things are hard enough for me but this hurt me even more. I called again at the beginning of March 2026 for answers. When someone picks up i told them what was going on and they Hanged up on me !!!! Im so heartbroken right now. I don't what to do. im just so tired. Please find another hotel.
I stayed at Plaza Hotel Fort Lauderdale and checked out October 14, 2025. The hotel owes me a $338 refund. I have contacted them multiple times, and even visited the property on December 13 where a manager confirmed the refund and wrote ‘Approve To Send Back’ on my authorization document. Booking.com has also attempted to contact them with no response. I am still waiting for the refund.
The staff was friendly.
The floors hadnt been vacuumed since covid. It smells like damp towel and burnt toilet water. The paint is chipping off the doors, like all the way down every hallway. Im guessing noone sees this. Someone painted the sink because the paint inside that was also chipping like something out of Chernobyl. The elevator needs extra strength WD40 immediately, elevator sounds super unhealthy. The coffee is reheated from yesterday. Only decafe available in the room. And $100 deposit at check in after paying for room already online is wild, I should be charging them $100 for the choppy wifi, the signal from the hotel next door was 2 bars stronger. The staff was super friendly though. The only good thing was the staff.

Hotel was overbooked and we did not get a room, arrived around 11pm with a 12 yo and could not find another hotel to stay in.
