Loved how clean it was and the location.
I wasn’t thrilled with the first floor room. I asked for something else, and was given a room with a lot of traffic. I think some kind of punishment. I was a flight attendant for 25 years and have had too many people enter my room without going through the room door. I just wish the front staff understood this.
Desk and engineering staff were terrific, courteous, efficient and helpful.
Breakfast was ok.

Room had not been checked out before our stay:
TV not plugged into cable.
Toilet plugged and there was no plunger next to it . Toilet rocked back & forth. It wasn't well secured to the floor. Telephone was not connected. As a result it didn't work.
Bedrom was hard to navigate. Cramped space, difficult to reach far side of bed.
Entrance driveway was poorly designed and dangerous to both cars & people. Parking spaces were too few and too small.

The breakfast was great and the staff was very try kind and friendly and willing to help.
The plates in the cabinet were dirty, the beside tables were covered in dust and the pool was cold. It’s advertised as having a hot tub and there was not one.

My friends and I arrived a little after 3pm and were told there were no rooms ready, that housekeeping was behind schedule and check in time was 4pm. Ok, i understand standard check in time but how can you be sold out in this small town with not much going on? It was not like I was trying to check in at noon. The front desk clerk did not go out of her way to be welcoming or offer us anything while we waited in the lobby even though I told her we had an event to go to. She half a** tried to call housekeeping to hurry them up. Finally we were able to check in at 3:50 but this was after she completely disappeared from the front desk area. We left for our event and upon returning later at night the same clerk did not hold the door open for us, though I did for her! Also this is when the roaches made their appearance in our room. My friends saw a sizable one in the bathroom and there was a small one doing laps around the kitchen sink. Another small one which I though i had drowned kept coming back and climbing the faucet handle. When we left the next morning at 7am there were two clerks at the front desk and neither one of them even looked up at me when i was standing there waiting to hand them my keys, they were more concerned with the shift change. Finally the one took my keys. To summarize, the Residence Inn Danbury needs to do better in terms of customer service and cleanliness! This is definitely not in line with what one would expect from the Marriott brand
Stayed one night in two bedroom suite. Staff were very pleasant. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Great option when children need their own space. Also great to have kitchen area with younger children so you have a refrigerator for milk/formula and kitchen sink and microwave. There was a small pool that we did not try out since we checked in late. A little pricey for an overnight get away just to get away but would definitely stay again if I need to break up a trip to avoid a long car ride with kids.
