Happy with our stay at Caliente Tropics. Spent three nights out of six here in Palm Springs. Chose it pool and proximity to tiki bar/restaurant. Totally satisfied! Was not sure what to expect based on prior reviews. So what if the wallpaper is a little dated and the bed a bit soft. The bathroom is completely is updated and fine, and sink area also updated. Towels great, coffee and toiletries on room changed daily. We needed nothing else, great value. The pool is fun, and not nearly as crowded as the more expensive hotel we went to for the last three days. Great attached Reef restaurant.
pictures in advertising are not true to property. looked like a fun stay, but glad we didn't follow through with that plan! We chose a different stay but went to check out Caliente for next visit. Not for us.
Great location! It was very quiet and lovely. We could walk to several hikes.

The gym doesn’t open until 8 AM.
And it would be nice if there was somewhere to get filtered water. There is a convenience store a block away to get water, but it would’ve been lovely if the hotel had water available.

They are quite strict with the check-in time, and they had to be exactly on the dot.
Didnt know there was a festival on for the weekend,. Pool and restaurant were not available for Saturday and part of Sunday.

Unfortunately, we tried to call the front desk to get additional blankets because the rooms were cold due to the season and the AC/heating unit wasn’t really functioning properly, but nobody answered the phone. The furniture/dresser in our room was broken. So was the door handle on the bathroom.
Clean, good-sized room, no issues checking in after midnight, fantastic fast wifi, great hot tub - pool looked nice but didn't use...didn't get a chance to go to the Reef bar but have heard good things. Loved that pool and hot tub is open late. Music at pool area is chill and not annoying. Easy parking and waited no more than 3 minutes for Ubers.
The AC/heat unit sounded light a jet plane taking off anytime we turned it on.

The rooms are outdated, the wallpaper is peeling, and the sheets are stained. Carpet is old and disgusting. Doors do not have additional locks, only one dead bolt. The air continuing is noisy. Staying at this so-called resort was terrible. The only redeeming quality was the decent water pressure in the shower. Many of the pool chairs are broken. We were placed here after our flight was canceled and the airline selected this hotel. Referring to this place as a “resort” is extremely misleading. Until this motel undergoes major renovations, do not stay here under any circumstances.
