Room was hot and stuffy when we entered and took over 24 hours to cool down. Old hotel and it needs serious maintenance. Cockroach on the floor in the room, no room service (prob because we were located way in the back and no one came), no towel or toilet paper refresh and we ran out of toilet paper. I had to drive to front desk for towels first day and toilet paper the second day. There was some large group there the first two nights and I feel like they were serviced and not us. The third night there was lots of screaming outside our room and police there as well with flashing lights. Room was so dirty like nothing gets wiped down (furniture, doors, walls etc). I hope to never stay at a Millenium Hotel again.
I booked a week in advance and did the pre check in they texted me to do. I get to the hotel and she tells me they do not have a room for me. I could get on a waiting list and it already had 10 people on it. They’d already screwed over 10 at least before me! Then she offered to cancel the reservation for free! This place has some nerve. We had just traveled from Dallas TX now I’m scrambling to find a place to stay.
DO NOT ATTEMPT !!! It will mess up your day!
The staff was great.
The breakfast was too limited as it comes to healthy options.
it was close to my job
the front desk staff they were so rude and made my family feel uncomfortable and welcomed the lady with the red hair told us we didn’t have a reservation even though i booked online and the original lady from that morning took my deposit and confirmed my reservation I told her i had to be at work at check so can my husband come and get the keys she said yes that’s fine and she was very sweet. the red haired lady embarrassed him and told him he was looking for a free room even though our room was booked already so i had to leave work just to walk in and over hear them talking about my reservations and she tried to get my to pay another deposit so i had to show proof that i’ve already paid. When i finally got my room it was dirty and someone else’s belongings were still in the room so we had to wait until they cleaned it . I had to stay for a few nights because i was on a business trip and my stay in town was extended and as i’m typing it still haven’t received my deposit back
Pool
Saw a roach on the coffee table.
Smelled of marijuana inside and definitely in the parking lot. My reservation was breakfast included and booked 2 rooms with 2 rooms each and they indicated that meant 2 people so one of our party was expected to pay additional fee for breakfast.
All areas were clean.
I wished breakfast hours were an hour longer.
The hotel was nice I enjoyed the accommodations.
The hot tub was broke most of the stay so I only got to enjoy one day in there. The breakfast staff is vey rude and half of the reception were rude. I order an early check in at 10 ahead of time and got approved but still wasn’t checked in until about 11:45
This is the second time that I am staying in this hotel. It is tranquil, clean, very reasonably priced, located just near Duke campus and hospital, and restaurants, with competent and friendly staff. Both times, the staff allowed early checkin without extra changes. During my stays, the staff did their best to quickly address any needs or issues, and particularly I was very pleased that one of the staff, Cecilia, was able to smoothly organize my stays between several consecutive reservations booked with different services and overall provided the most helpful and thoughtful service.
