Staff is super.
Recently renovated, comfortable, clean. Staff was excellent. Every one I interacted with on the staff was friendly and helpful.
Staff team were all very nice and helpful. I did not eat the complimentary breakfast because it didn't have more healthy options. The room and beds were ok.
It was not worth the rate charged. The bathroom tub was dirty, stained, rather disgusting with loose tape (nasty). There were two thin bath towels, some discolored smaller towels. Sheets did not fit over the mattresses, so they came off. Linens were mismatched from one bed to the other. The Fitness Center had holes in the ceiling, large, stained ceiling tiles, few weights and not very clean. Hotel was old, not very clean, in dire need of renovation. It could have been somewhat more acceptable at half the price or less. Really not very good.
The hotel was great except for instead of giving me my $50 deposit back when I had a perfect drum they sent me a notification saying that they gave it back and instead they retook $125
I'm going out of town to the VA and I have a very little bit of money and I was staying at a hotel and these guys never gave me my deposit back and when they said they gave it back instead they retook another $125 off my cash app card and screwed me completely

Hotel is under renovations, however we received a room that was half finished. When we asked about it they said they were overbooked and tried to accommodate us. However we booked 6 months ago, so that’s not our fault you over booked. Bathroom was still a mess from renovations and wasn’t cleaned, bathtub was gross, didn’t drain and filled with water, fridge didn’t work, phone didn’t work, lamp didn’t work. Unfriendly staff members when asked about the situation. No manager on duty until after 11PM. We paid full price for these rooms that are half finished.
I came here for a wedding. Our rooms got messed up when we booked them 3 months in advance. The front desk people are awful. No AC, No hangers or anything to put your clothes in. No microwave. It’s just horrible. I do not recommend at all.
Hotel is close to several other hotels in Cedar Rapids so there are other choices. It’s an older hotel. The rooms have been renovated and my king room was spacious. Bed was comfortable but the pillows deflated at the slightest pressure. It took 3 to do what a normal pillow would do.
My shower leaked quite a bit of water between the shower and toilet during a normal shower. Water pressure was just adequate.
The television produced no sound even after exhausting all the options I had used before at home and other places. It was a newer model and the remote was not able to resolve the volume issue.
The breakfast buffet was the typical fare with limited choices. Coffee tasted scorched. Bacon was a weird dark brown.
I explained the room issues to the front desk staff and basically got the normal “we got this” response but no action. I would not stay at this place again.
The location
It was in the middle of a remodel. The staff was not helpful. There was no linens for the pull out sofa and when I asked for some I was told I had to come to the front desk and then they gave me a mattress protect and one blanket. No sheets and I was told they had no pillows. The front desk staff were unhelpful. The thermostat in my room was not working. The temp was 62 degrees so I had to turn off the air conditioner. They charged $300!
The elevator was nice to see the main lobby as u go up n down.
Breakfast was not that great. Tub was really gross and looked unclean
