Hotel 99 Sepang KLIA

This is a very basic hotel. OK for an overnight stay, but nothing longer. The plus side is that there are many good eating places nearby.

The person at the desk was rude and unhelpful,
the room was nothing to write home about with mold in the bathroom and on the walls in the bedroom, the smell of tobacco smoke wafting through the aircon was the tipping point for us,
We checked out and paid for a different hotel

As a fellow Hotelier, here's my complain

Front Desk Service
The front desk staff were noticeably unfriendly and unhelpful. Moreover, my checkout time was abruptly changed without prior notice, and I had to personally go to the front desk when my room suddenly experienced a power outage. This caused unnecessary inconvenience.

Lack of Basic Amenities
There were no coffee or tea sachets provided in the room, which I believe should be a standard amenity. Additionally, no Wi-Fi password was given at check-in, making it difficult for me to connect and work efficiently.

Elevator and Stairwell Conditions
The lift was frequently out of service, forcing guests to use the stairs. Unfortunately, the stairwell was cluttered with boxes and miscellaneous items, posing both a safety hazard and a poor impression of the hotel’s upkeep.

Ironing Facilities
There was no personal iron in the room. I had to iron my clothes in a shared space where only one iron was available, which caused delays and was highly inconvenient.

Transporter Vasan stated that I had to pay 30 MYR for transport each side from the airport to the hotel, even though I showed them the written communication from the hotel saying that I had to pay 30MYR for the whole trip, on both sides. The hotel staff the night before had also confirmed that I had to pay 30MYR in total as well. Vasan was very rude and disrespectful and made a solo female traveller feel very unsafe. I felt very threatened, and exploited by him as he knew that there was no way for me to get back to the airport and I would miss my flight. He utilized this opportunity to make a quick profit by lying, and manipulating my need to get back to the airport to catch my flight.

He stated that I was late exiting the airport last night and had made the driver wait - even though I had communicated well in advance that my flight had been delayed. This was followed by immigration clearance being slow - both issues that I had absolutely no control over.

Overall, he was very threatening, and made the overall experience highly unsafe and traumatic. He should certainly reassess the manner in which he communicates with clients, and management should ensure that he does not continue with this highly disrespectful behaviour.

The hotel overall is not well-maintained. The rooms and public areas are dirty. The bed sheet, and pillows are stained. The bathroom is unclean and very unhygienic.

Would not recommend.

Booked 2 rooms for stay over with the family whilst waiting for a connection back to England from KLIA. The walk to the room was unpleasant, the corridors smelled like a pub toilet. Upon getting to the rooms throng did not get better. The room was dirty and full of mosquitoes and the bedding clearly had not been changed on any beds, it was stained with blood and what looked like skid marks. Not just one bed but all of them. Complained to the lady on reception and she just laughed so we got a taxi straight back to the airport and sat in a lounge. How this place has achieved 4.5 stars is nothing short of a miracle. Just a few photo’s attached.

We stayed here for 1 night. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. The hotel is convenient for KLIA and there are lots of shops and places to eat nearby. However, the place is absolutely filthy and in need of a thorough clean down. Whoever is responsible for cleaning is not doing their job properly. Neither is the manager for accepting such low standards of cleanliness around the hotel. Really no need for what could be a decent and convenient budget stop-over to be like this.

We arrived around 1AM in KLIA 2 and our bus schedule to Melaka was still at 9AM. So we opted to find a place to stay and sleep.

Cost: Very affordable (it costs us at about Php 1000)

Location: 15km away from KLIA2 where you can either take airport taxi, grab or book the hotel shuttle

Amenities nearby: there are many restaurants, cafés and stores nearby

Room: the room is worth the penny. We chose 2 twin beds. It has tables, tv, private t&b, window, acu, free water, coffee & tea, toiletries (we had a comfortable stay)

Hotel amenities: just really for bed, toilet & bath

But it’s very recommended for anyone who wants to take a rest before or after their flight.

The hotel is convenient for KLIA and they can arrange (paid) shuttle to and from the airport.
The room are clean, small and basic but OK for an overnight stay.
There are plenty of eating places and mini markets around the hotel. Behind the hotel is a medical office that can provide COVID testing.
A inexpensive room if you are happy with basic facilities.

Good location not far away from Salak Tinggi transit and surrounding have many shops and shopping centre within 5 minutes walking distance. Basically the only no good about the hotel is poor WiFi connection. Staff are good as help to find a very good hotel for free with transport provided during no electric inside hotel room at night.

Toilet stink, didn't replace new toilet roll

Close to the airport and the location surrounded with many restaurants.

Good for cheap price hotel.. very convinience... near the restaurant and plenty of choice of restaurant.. good bargain

Room is clean, price is reasonable
There are a lot of food surrounding the hotel and mcd also nearby.
Distance from hotel to airport is 11km. It is good for short stay for those who is waiting for flight

Hotel was above average, stay here for 13 night for quarantine purpose.

Close access to airport and with reasonable rate. Recommended to all.

A good place to stay for a stay-over.

Room is not sound proof so whenever there is guest rolling a luggage over then it would be very noisy. Can't really sleep at all. They gave me a room near the bridge.

Lovey clean rooms but the standout was Mt Jeff on reception staff
We had, had problems with our atm card and our grab. App
He booked us a grab car on his phone and as we were short on money and unable to get our atm card to work he GAVE us the money we needed.
This kindness is heartwarming and beyond good service

Hotel is very nice and modern, Good place to rest before a flight out of the city. There are plenty of eateries around and even a shopping mall close by.
