Motel 6-Sedalia, MO

The motel was old and run down, there was only one pillow per guest, the chemical smell was overwhelming, and the room had bugs. It was so bad, I forfeited the next three nights because it was too late to cancel, but I was not staying there another night. We paid for a different room at another hotel.

In person, this property does not look anything as it appears online. It is an older property, it does not have an elevator which is not mentioned online, the carpet throughout the building is heavily stained and smelled of mildew. There was a strong stench of cigarettes throughout the building as well. The room I was in had dead insects stuck on the wall. The bedding was just 2 thin sheets, they do not have blankets/comforters on the bed. The pillows are very thin. We unfortunately received dirty towels that had been folded back up and placed in the restroom. We had a 2 night stay and our beds were never made. We had to shower with shoes on due to the sever peeling in the tub and what looked like old dirt. The shower curtain was on backwards to his stains on the front of the curtain. The property itself could use a complete revamp. The only reason I didn’t give it a zero rating is due to the location and the front desk staff was courteous. I will not rebook this location again for future trips.

They needed an exterminator. The Bathtub was peeling so bad ii would cut you. The white walls were so dirty the bathroom was more brown than anything. A quick wipe down would work miracles. The windows air-conditioner wasnt sealed, you could see outside.

The use of covid 19 to not offer breakfast and no one else in town was. only one washcloth and one cup in room tub had been painted and was peeling

The shower curtain was dirty. There were bugs crawling around the ice machine. The refrigerator in our room didn’t work. Smoke detector started going off at 2am.

Needs paint and new bathroom. The bathroom toilet seat was stained.the tub was peeling. The bedroom had stuff on the walls.

Rooms were dirty, towels were dirty and spotted with stains, walls with holes,chips and stains, the bed had a sheet and a coverlet that was as thin as a shower curtain. Hallway smelled like a urinal

Wish they would put new towels n things in everyday

The hotel did not seem to be a smoke-free facility.
The room's toilet was missing it's cover.
The bathroom fan did not work.
The handle for the shower was loose which made adjusting the water difficult.
The room had multiple spots where the drywall had been patched over but no attempt was made to smooth it over so it looked like a half-ass job.
There was no door tag to request a room clean or not, and while I was gone all day and would not have requested a room clean, someone did come in to empty the trash a replace a towel.
My co-worker's wife's sheet had a big stain on it. When she called and alerted the front desk, they brought up a new one but expected her to change the bed.
The smoke alarm began chirping with a low battery around 3am, and according to my coworker, no one bothered to mess with it.

the booking let me book was told 18+ got to the desk and they were like it’s 18 then I was told no you gotta be 21 to book at this hotel I was like even though your hotel online says 18 but whatever so then I went to the Marshall lodge which was cheaper and the employee upfront was very respectful and helped me so much even added stuff to my room for me don’t recommend this place

Room had dead roaches smashed on the wall. Also found a live roach in the bathroom. Front desk would answer when tried to call about the issue. And no one was available at check out time either. Just had a drop box for key card. Won't be staying at that motel 6 again.

That i was lied to by the hotel staff. They told me I would get fully refunded but I still havent amongst several requests amd its been over a month now

Hole in bathroom door. No lock on it either. Nasty bedsheets. Not cleaned or vacuumed. Didn't like how they took a picture of my ID on the iPad camera app. Mold everywhere including the bed and ceiling of the bathroom.
