I liked the fact that their was a pool and the waffles for breakfast...
That they didn't let it be known that they were a pet friendly place...
Clean convenient location nice staff
It was horrific. No bagels, stale bread, no fruit, juice machine was "out of order) and cereal was stale. How you get away with calling it breakfast is beyond me.
Nothing. We found 2 bed bugs in our room you call things amenities and make people pay for it. The place was gross.
How close it was to stores. Pricing was reasonable, just hoped for a cleaner environment.
Initially when checking in, nobody was available at the front desk, had to pick up the phone to ring for someone. When she finally came out, she didn't seem very friendly or inviting. Once we finally got to our room, upon entering, we immediately noticed a strong musty smell. We noticed the ac was not on, so we got it going and it helped a bit with the smell. However the bathroom still smelled strongly. We also noticed the mini fridge was not cold and never really got cold enough. Also never had a visit from housekeeping for the entirety of our stay (2 nights). When I asked the woman working front desk about when they would come for trash (our bag had become full) she seemed annoyed and said they only had one person and it "had been a day", she then said to sit the trash out and she would grab it...she never did. The floors felt sticky when stepping on without socks and when wearing socks, left dark marks on the bottom. I had also asked about towels as we used what we had our first night, since housekeeping never came in, she again seemed annoyed and said to let her know when I needed them and she would get me towels.
At checkout, upon walking out from our room, the bag of trash was still sitting there.
I appreciated that it was affordable. Having a pool. Size of the room. Water pressure was good.
I didn’t like that the only options for breakfast were making your own waffles, toast and cereal with a choice of coffee, juice or a craft of milk that’d sit on a counter from 6am-9am. There was little to no effort by staff to provide hot choices or even fruit and yogurt. I didn’t like how the bed sheets were like sand paper and the pillows were half the size of normal. The bed was pretty stiff. I didn’t like that our room wasn’t serviced the entire stay, no clean towels delivered, no trash removal. We had to ask the front desk for towels and sat our garbage outside our door while using grocery bags for extra trash bags. I didn’t like the smell of the hotel, it had a mildew/wet stale smell, at times it heavily smelt like animal urine and farts. Our room smelt fine from our shower products and perfumes. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a smart tv or at least a tv with a remote that would let you do more than scroll channels. Couldn’t even select from the channel guide, you just happened upon it while channel surfing. Couldn’t even type in numbers because it required a dash that wasn’t on the remote. I didn’t like the size of the bathroom, you had to walk in and shimmy around the toilet to shut the door before sitting down. I didn’t like that our door didn’t shut properly, we had to double check we applied pressure for it to securely shut and lock. Pool was a little dirty looking. Getting in and out of the parking lot was a nightmare, up/down hill… uneven and bumpy as all heck and traffic was heavy. Almost impossible to cross traffic so you’d have to turn right and go in a big circle instead. Not very quiet… could hear every door opening and closing. Heating and cooling was inconsistent, we’d be cold when the ac ran but get hot when it rested. Apparently this is the oldest hotel in the town of Mount Vernon… so there you have it.
The staff is excellent! The room is better than expected. Great lighting and attractive exterior. Nice, yet modest breakfast. I prefer more fruit and either pastries or muffins.,
The exterior trash can needs to be emptied often due to the contractors packing excessive trash in it.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The computer system was down but they didn't let that be an issue with the check in process. The property was nice and clean. You can tell they do the best to take care of the property and the customers.
I really have nothing to complain about.
The breaskfast was terrible. No healthy choices, no fruit, peanut butter oatmeal… not worth 173 dollars too spend the night there. terrible
I paid 173 dollars the place was worth 73 dollars not an extra one hundred
The hotel is centrally located. Close to a variety of stores and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Nothing there disrespectful bias and judgmental and mean hearted group there the only ones worth anything is amy at the desk and Nikki the maid
