Motel 6 in Somers Pt, NJ
Pros:

Location or so I thought

Cons:

I booked on line, requesting a 1st floor do to disability. The male front desk stated he couldn't change my booking and I suggested I could cancel it and pay extra for 1st floor. He refused. This is a small motel six with approx 30 rooms, no elevator. That night only five cars in the lot, mine the front desk. So there was plenty of open rooms. TheY put me on the second floor , walked up steps, with my luggage at the back of the hotel. The carpet in the hallway smelled like mold. The room was located next to an area that appeared to be under construction, removal possibly a washer area. THEN WHEN I CHECKED OUT ,AFTER TWO NIGHTS, THE FRONT DESK MAN CAN AROUND THE CORNER TO THE DESK DRESSED IN A TEE SHIRT AND UNDERPANTS. SO NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL.

Great location providing a quiet stay for you and your pets
Pros:

The location is convenient and pet friendly which worked for us

Cons:

I feel after visiting this hotel multiple times they could make an effort to update some of their rooms. The shower hardware could use updating as well as door to bathroom. The beds could use a pillow topper to make them a little more comfortable and possibly a loveseat would be nice as there is plenty of room to make space a little more comfortable

Exceed expectations
Pros:

I can't find a place more convenient, dog-friendly and affordable than this. Besides, this motel is not located near highways but in a community, so there's not loud traffic noise.

Cons:

AC is too loud. No coffee machine in the lobby or in the room.

Just ok but not pet friendly

They allow pets at no additional charge

Cons:

They allow pets but will not let you leave them unattended in the room so when I went to dinner I had to take them with me and leave them in the car. This would not work if the weather was warmer. There is no designated "pet" area or even a patch of grass to take the dogs to. I had to walk a half a block and cross the street to find grass.
It took 3 tries/3 rooms to find one that the TV worked and the bathroom fan didn't make a horrible noise when running.
There was no hair dryer or microwave in the room. So make sure you bring your own dryer. There is a microwave in the lobby that they allowed me to use. I stay at Motel 6 all of the time because I always travel with my dogs but this was the worst one I have been in. Very disappointing.

You get what you pay for at this place. But, the location makes it worth it.
Pros:

The location was good for what we needed. The price was right for our budget. They are also dog friendly!

Cons:

We had to ask for more supplies and it felt like we were bothering them. A room for two should have at least two of each item, towels, washcloths, etc.

There were also some things that did need some attention. The fridge door didn’t close and there were places that have not been dusted in some time.

Pros:

When we opened the doors there was a moldy smell, my wife said everything was fine. The AC doesn't clean, there is no shampoo, only soap. And 2 towels. Thank you.
