Fine facilities. Disappointed in the breakfast and the parking charge.
Pros:

The room was fine. The service at the front desk was great.

Cons:

I thought the food was not good at all. The bacon was like paper. The cheese omelete felt like it was fake.

Charging $15 for that parking lot is ridiculous.

Fantastic staff, amazing views, comfortable room.
Pros:

Great location and the area is gorgeous! I had asked for a card saying Happy Anniversary to surprise my husband and the staff took it to the next level. We absolutely loved it!

Cons:

Nothing we didn’t like - everything was amazing!

Lovely place to stay. Easy access to the river walk and the heart of downtown.
Pros:

My room has a wonderful view of the river. Easy access both to Main Street shops and the Ice House Museum. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was impeccably clean. The bed was quite comfortable.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike. Property was recommended by an Iowan couple I met at a rest area in Minnesota. They had stayed here and said it would be a perfect stop for my travel between Wisconsin and Nebraska. So glad that I heeded their advice!

Excellent hotel -EXCEPT for the parking fee
Pros:

This is a very nice hotel with comfy rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast is outstanding. I love the location overlooking bustling, lively downtown Cedar Falls. But, I deducted one star in protest of the $15 nightly charge to park in the open, ungated lot next to the hotel. This fee was not disclosed when making the reservation, until I saw a small sign on the counter at check-in. How do they even monitor this? You could be dropped off or walk from downtown, etc. I urge hotel management to re-think this tacky money grab.

Pros:

For the price they charged, the breakfast offered was not good. Bananas overly ripe, powdered eggs were horrible. They would do better to lower the price of the room and not offer breakfast.

Pros:

When I checked into the room there was wax that had spilled on the carpet in about ten different spots. It looked as if they tried to clean two spots and since it didn't clean very well they didn't bother cleaning the other spots. Talked to front desk and they said they knew about it. So they just left it there on floor to rent to someone else. Called manage and have left messages asking for him to call and no return call. Other than that be disgusting. The rest of the hotel was ok. Just upset that they can confront me and make it right for the customer.
