Service could be better.
Pros:

Clean, friendly.

Cons:

For what you pay I expected daily cleaning. I requested extra towels since they had not replenished or cleaned the room. Called for them about 7:30pm. At 9pm, I get a call to see if I still needed towels. I told him yes. Waited til 10:30pm and nothing.

It was great for what we needed: A place to crash after a day of being out with friends or family
Pros:

I liked that I got to choose my room, and the fitness center was pretty cool! I also liked the addition of the digital key, and the little muffins for breakfast

Cons:

The pillows were pretty deflated and uncomfortable, even on the first night. I'm not sure why the ceiling fan and the light on it cannot be controlled separately. I would've loved being able to control the TV's actual settings, like brightness and accessibility. The cooked stuff for breakfast was usually not great

Not a good experience in a Hilton property
Pros:

I booked multiple rooms at Homewood Suites in Harlingen, Texas for a long-term work stay (over $12,000 spent), and the experience was extremely disappointing. We went more than a week without hot water, and the only compensation offered was 11,000 points — not even enough for one night. Several rooms had issues like leaking sinks, moldy smells, and one room without working AC, which forced my employees to move rooms multiple times.

I even had to leave and stay elsewhere for two nights due to the hot water issue, and no assistance or accommodation was offered. On top of that, my reservation was incorrectly marked as a no-show after I had already checked in online, causing more issues for my team.

For the amount of time and money spent, the service and follow-up from the staff was unacceptable. I’ve been loyal to Hilton for years, but this stay at Homewood Suites Harlingen has made me seriously reconsider that loyalty.
