Everything! Great place to stay before a cruise. They have a shuttle.
This hotel was perfect for our 1 night pre cruise stay. We had a lovely spacious jr suite with wrap around windows overlooking the marina & within easy walking distance of historic San Pedro, restaurants, bars, historical attractions & brew pubs. They offer an $11 shuttle to the ship & a comfortable pleasant stay. While many reviews mention the rooms decor dated, we didn’t feel that this in any way detracted from comfort in our room. I would definitely recommend this hotel & stay here again.
Location perfect. Would stay there again if only for that
Food services less than acceptable
Location for the cruise port. Easily within walking distance
The breakfast. Not enough staff. My husband asked 2 of the servers to order an omelette but they failed to take his order. Gave up and had the buffet instead. The response from the staff when we complained was mediocure-no apology.
Location to the harbor for cruising is fantastic, having a restaurant/bar on sight makes it easy. Amazing front desk staff, restaurant/bar staff.
Main bathroom by restaurant/bar, not very clean. Pricing of bottle water in the amenities store is ridiculously expensive.
This is a okay place to stay pre-cruise but desperately needs a reno and staff that know what they are doing. Arrived around 10pm and sent to a room that was not made up. Went back to front desk to be told they didn’t know which rooms were clean and if we waited around they could look into it🙄. Tried to go for breakfast the next morning. Lots of empty tables in the restaurant but people waiting outside with no idea how long they would be waiting. We paid for the cruise ship shuttle at 11:30. When the shuttle arrived there were two cruise ships leaving that day and the driver didn’t know who to pick up or drop off. Had no idea when he’d be back. Asked the front desk about this and got blank stares. Ended up taking a Uber. Crowne used to be a great hotel chain so it’s disappointing to see this kind of service.
The location of the property is perfect for someone looking to board a cruise. Even though the port is within walking distance, they offer a free shuttle. The hotel bar & restaurant were amazing, you had one bartender on shift and she had a full house. She was absolutely amazing and made sure everyone was taken care of. The water pressure in the guest room was my only complaint. Everything else was 5 stars!
Close to cruise terminal
You cannot check in until 3. So if you’re staying here before a cruise, prepare to wait in a line for over an hour just to check in. There were hundreds of people trying to check in at the same time because the staff wouldn’t let them check in early / when they arrived. It was a mess.
San Pedro hotel, atmosphere was nice, they got us in our room early which was very nice had been a long travel day, staff were very friendly
Not worth the money
Was 4 of us in room had to order 2 breakfast at$27 each n not worth the money. We also had no hot water couldn’t shower
Close to port
As always it was a joy to stay at Crowne Plaza. I have stayed many times pre cruise and never had an unpleasant experience. The staff is always kind and considerate.
Great location for cruise. Cruise package with good parking convenient. Room was very nice. (Suite with harbor view).
Included shuttle was crowded on embarkation day. Completely failed to pick up us at port on debarkation day. Had to take Uber after waiting for shuttle that never arrived. Hotel reimbursed us for Uber cost. Were told that the hotel shuttle was provided by a 3rd party. Very disappointed in the return shuttle experience, as were many others.
Nice place, good location. Rental car return on site was a plus.
Shuttle to cruise ship is a plus.
I thought breakfast was a bit over priced.
Great staff. Good food in restsurant. Very customer focused in every detail, helpful, courteous, kind. Go the extra mile on all issues
Room was comfortable great Harbor view. We watched a cruise ship 🚢 arrive this morning. Very understaffed. Rooms weren't ready when we arrived, no problem. We came back a few hours later & had an hour wait to pick up our room key. Staff has been friendly but definitely overwhelmed. Standard hotel fees but $5 for a bottle of Coke 🤦♀️
The view & location are awesome though.
The check in lines were out the door, only two agents at the desk. Could have had more to move the lines quicker. Overall was a great night stay.
Hotel check-in time is 4:00 we arrived at 2:00. Told to come back at 4:00 to check-in at that time. The problem is, everyone staying at this large hotel arrived at the same time on a Saturday night before a cruise departing Sunday. At 5:30 the lobby was still full of people trying to check in. Chaos everywhere! No direction, very little staff, no express or on-line check-in. It should not take 2 plus hours to check-in to a hotel!
