Spacious, beautiful & newly remodelled rooms. Excellent location.

The facility and the staff.

We liked that it's walking distance to Amtrak station, a very important factor for our early morning train ride. Some staff members were very friendly. The room was comfortable after we moved to a different room.

The location was very close to the rocket mortgage center and close to a lot of resturants. The staff was friendly and helpful

Location wise, prime. Walkable distance, easily accessible for cab and ride share pickup. Valet for a small $10 add on was perhaps considerable, but the traffic flow and ease of parking in the garage was not too hard to self park. Pricing for cabs was $8 for about 1.5 mile ride from here to the famous Cleveland brewery I came here to visit that night making traveling rideshare not too expensive.

The room was less than stellar. The tub was nice, but slightly dated when most location have ADA accessible walk-ins in most of their king suites this room felt a little dates. The toilet had the misfortune of having a hanging curtain lingering over you while you sit and use the toilet - a simple tie back used in many window treatments would been great but this is not what I encountered - and the lack of hand soap, but bars seem dated. As far as the room there were nice bedding, soft mattress and a/c that worked better than mostly every hotel I've stayed on the road outside of resorts. The window treatments are dated in the room leaving poor sound suppression leaving sirens and road noise to bleed into the room; however, the well accoumated decor included sound damping at the door jam and seemingly other rooms noise did not travel during my stay.

On the cleaner side of the hotels i've visited, but there was a massive mold deposit that seemingly isn't being noticed next to the shower diverter in my room, but that was the only eye sore of uncleanliness. This westin was very well maintained, but I felt the parking garage (even though it is winter and probably worn due to seasonal wear) could use some patching in the garage (you'd never know valeting...); at least, the lot was clean and managed by the team.

Service was not the best and I often felt rushed, under valued and violated(?). I had my jacket riffled through by the manager at the restaurant while consuming my marg post bathroom visit. The surprise to see a manager who told you he was very happy to have me only to be happy for him and his buddy to go through my jacket was eye opening. Not once in my adult life has that happened, alarming to me an not welcoming. The poor food and service that also came before the jacket with check-in, ordering later that night and then before I went to sleep have my jacket inspected was not apart of my Westin plans for Cleveland.

There was a very attractive room rate when I booked vs my normal Hilton brand I'd visit. Upon reinstalling the app, I still did not have access to an electronic room key. The room I booked on the the Marriott app was supposed to provide a 30% room deposit, only to be charged nearly 87% of the room rate - not a big deal, just would like clear transparency when talking to the front desk. Parking was affordable and offered a true 24 hours from arrival until full departure allowing me to visit many shops and some major museums without paying for more parking after checking out of the room.
