Friendly host very helpful with advise on takeaways near by pubs etc! breakfast was perfect and very relaxed I can not fault the hotel or staff !Will definitely return next time I am visiting Newcastle

Fantastic, as always.
Pros:

We have a favourite room - we love the layout and the gorgeous bed.
The shared spaces are quirky and fun, always exceptionally clean and the breakfast is exceptional - there is everything you could want.
Parking is off road and private.
Great location for getting to events and places of interest. We use Uber to get about at night and it works well.
Stan is always welcoming, helpful and very chatty. With his local knowledge, he recommends places to visit and helps people plan their travel arrangements etc .

Hidden Gem
Pros:

The room was very clean and warm (stayed in early spring), the interior and decoration of the hotel is an interesting mix of collectibles/art/antiques which makes it look like a mini museum. Very different and I loved it! Breakfast was outstanding! The owner is so friendly and really helpful.

Modernisation could better but for the price its way better than a travel lodge and free parking, easy access.

First Class Place!
Pros:

Slightly off the beaten track..and the main coast road between town and Tynemouth. The place is a gem! The staff are very friendly...and when a guest can share breakfast with Stan, the owner, that says it all. I don't travel to Newcastle so much lately but i wouldn't dream about staying anywhere else.

Great family hotel in a great location ran by a top man.
Pros:

The welcome from the owner, Stan, was excellent. A really great guy and the hotel was perfect for our needs. Comfortable beds and breakfast the next day was top notch with the staff always making sure you had everything you needed.
