Beautiful Luxurious Hotel. A very family oriented hotel. Breakfast was abundant, fruits, juices, diff smoothies everyday. Service is excellent..

Pine Cliffs Hotel und Resort sind immer eine Reise wert.
Pros:

Ich kenne das Hotel als auch das Resort schon seit vielen Jahren und kehre immer wieder gerne hierher zurück.
Für mich war es während meiner beruflichen Zeit in Portugal immer auch ein Ort der Ruhe. Sobald ich das Eingangstor des Resorts durchfahren habe, stellte sich schlagartig das Urlaubsgefühl ein. Auch heute noch vermittelt das Pine Cliffs Resort mir ein ähnliches Gefühl. Ich finde trotz der vielen Jahre seit Eröffnung hat das Hotel nichts vom Reiz und Charme von damals verloren.

Pros:

Excellent location, central to the Algarve coast. Beautiful beach with the dramatic line tress and red cliffs. Staff was amazing, Daily breakfast buffet was exceptional. Resort had a lot of facilities. Since it was cold, (went in January) kids really liked being in their indoor pool that had huge skylights. Grounds are beautiful. Quick easy drive into the town, and the other cities along the coast.

Sehr schöne Ferien -aber das lag nicht unbedingt am Hotel der Luxury Category
Pros:

Lage perfekt, Strand ca. 5 km wunderschön, gute Küche im Steakhouse und im Fischrestaurant wirklich ausgezeichnete Küche, insbesondere der Fisch vom Grill sehr gekonnt, Zimmer gut, Zimmerservice personenabhängig gut. Massagen im SPA waren für mich ausgezeichnet.

Cons:

Frühstück akzeptabel, aber der Hotelkategorie 5* und "Luxury category" eher enttäuschend. (Billigprodukte bei Wurst und Fleisch, keine Besonderheiten und äusserst wenig landestypische Spezialitäten, Tee grauen- und stümperhaft- keine Extratassen als Standard, sondern Kaffeetasse zu Mehrfachnutzung- erst nach Extrabestellung Änderung. Concierge Service bei Reservierungen nach ausserhalb schlecht, Cancellation durch Anbieter wurde nicht mitgeteilt, was blieb, waren Taxikosten. Ich habe noch kein Luxury Hotel erlebt, in dem der Concierge an seinem Schreibtisch sitzt und Mails schreibt. Er steht noch nicht mal auf, wenn er Gäste bedient. Service im Steakhouse schlecht. Während des Essens wurden Nachbartische für den nächsten Tag neu gedeckt, rumrennen von Personal, keine gute Atmosphäre bei den doch hohen Preisen.
Preisniveaus in den Restaurants allgemein sehr hoch. Insbesondere in der Pizzeria. Sie hat das Flair einer Bahnhofswartehalle, Neonlicht, sehr laut.
Grundsätzlich: Servicepersonal in den Restaurants (ausser im Fischrestaurant) mehr schlecht als recht. Sprachlich no way, es wird nicht ein Wein zum Gang, obwohl so bestellt, serviert.
Sehr schade, denn das Resort hat sehr grosses Potential und ist wirklich ein landschaftliches Juwel. Besser nicht in der Hauptsaison, da sehr viele Kleinstkinder Restaurants insbesondere Frühstück, Halbpensionsrestaurant (ist auch öffentlich) und Pizzeria sehr laut und ungemütlich machen.
Ich konnte es sehr geniessen, denn das, was nicht gut ist, lässt man einfach weg und nutzt es nicht. Im Umfeld gibt es viele gute (auch weniger gute) Restaurants. Eine gute Erfahrung, eine eher weniger gute Präsentation eines Hotels der Luxury Category der Marriot Bonvoy Group.

Ende November war in der Hotelanlage nicht mehr viel los, etwas für Leute die früh ins Bett gehen.
Pros:

eine tolle Anlage, alles sauber und grün gehalten ... ein kurzer Weg über den Holzsteg zum Strand mit einem wunderbaren Strandrestaurant und herrlicher Aussicht auf den Atlantik.
Ein geräumiges Zimmer mit Meerblick - richtigem Meerblick - und einem grossen Balkon zur Sonnenseite.
Viel Personal - es war immer ein Ansprechpartner da - bis hin zum Parkplatz.
Frühstück und das Personal dort: hervorragend.

Cons:

Die Restaurants im Hause hatten unregelmäßig geöffnet, aber das lag wohl an der späten Jahreszeit.
Das Gartenpersonal war etwas zu emsig und zu laut, über mehrere Tage wurden wir schon früh geweckt.
Die Parkplätze wurden sehr reduziert und standen nur einer Werbekampagne spezieller Luxusautos zur Verfügung,
und das über 3 Wochen: unmöglich !

2 days of bad weather makes it impossible to use the outdoors. don't have board games, like chess, checkers, backgammon, etc. The snooker was only open after 5PM.
