Clean and well located, but disappointing facilities and poor service.
Pros:

The hotel was clean, modern and conveniently located for exploring Seoul, with plenty of attractions, restaurants and shops within easy reach. The room was well maintained and housekeeping standards were good.

Cons:

One of the main reasons we specifically chose this hotel was its advertised rooftop bar, so we were extremely disappointed to discover on arrival that it was closed for renovations. We had received no advance notification, something the hotel subsequently acknowledged and apologised for, but offered no meaningful resolution. Lounge 9's coffee machines provided only Americano, and when we requested a little milk for our in-room coffee, reception directed us to a convenience store. The room layout was inconvenient, with the washbasin in the hallway rather than the bathroom. The motion-sensor lighting in this area switched off too quickly, and when reported, the hotel's solution was to disable it completely, leaving inadequate lighting. Overall, disappointing service and little effort to resolve our concerns.

Great Location, Good Size Room, Comfortable Bed
Pros:

The room was nice and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. You could get different types of pillow from Reception
Being able to open the window was great.
The location was fantastic, lots of interesting places to visit nearby and easy access to public transport
Good facilities in the hotel (lockers, coin laundry, reading room) and the surrounding complex.
The staff were very helpful

Cons:

There was an automatic light outside the bathroom that went off whenever you open the toilet door, annoying in the middle of the night.
The shower is over a bath, not the easiest for older visitors.
The cups in the room were paper, no glass or ceramic

Pros:

Location was incredible. Insadong cultural street is just behind the hotel, a small mall/market downstairs, the palace is super close by, airport bus stops just around the corner. The staff were nice, breakfast had a wide selection.
I would most certainly stay here again.

Als ehemaliger Hotelmanager war ich mit meinem Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel ausgesprochen zufrieden. Wann immer ich nach Korea zurückkehre, habe ich in anderen Hotels gelegentlich kleine Dinge vermisst. In diesem Hotel war es jedoch anders: Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die herzliche Begrüßung und die freundliche Unterstützung durch den Mitarbeiter am Check-in.

Eines Abends hatte ich mir leicht die Hand verletzt und fragte an der Rezeption, ob es vielleicht ein Pflaster gäbe. Der Mitarbeiter gab mir nicht nur ein Pflaster, sondern auch eine Salbe und sagte, ich solle mich jederzeit melden, falls ich noch etwas benötige. Beim Check-out erkundigte er sich sogar noch einmal, ob es meiner Hand besser gehe. Diese aufmerksame und fürsorgliche Art hat mich wirklich berührt.

Ich habe bereits in zahlreichen Hotels gearbeitet und in vielen verschiedenen Hotels übernachtet. Umso mehr weiß ich den Unterschied zu schätzen, den engagierte und herzliche Mitarbeiter ausmachen. Das Team dieses Hotels hat bei mir einen besonders positiven Eindruck hinterlassen. Auch die Mitarbeiterinnen des Housekeepings sind mir durch ihre Freundlichkeit in sehr guter Erinnerung geblieben.

Man merkt, dass hier nicht nur professionell gearbeitet wird, sondern echte Gastfreundschaft gelebt wird. Ein großes Kompliment an das gesamte Team!

Wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Korea komme, werde ich mich sehr gerne wieder für dieses Hotel entscheiden.

Amazing hotel in a historic location
Pros:

Hotel was very modern, comfortable, and clean. Room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of options and refilled constantly. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. They offered a free guided tour to guests of a local historic palace which was very entertaining and informative and unbelievable for a free offer. The location is fantastic - Insandong is one of the more historic parts of the city, and also has good links to the rest of Seoul. The hotel is close to multiple bus and subway routes, and is directly above a nice shopping street with numerous restaurants and a convenience store. We booked a room with a view of Jogyesa Temple which was stunning.

Cons:

Multiple elevator trips required as there is one from street level to reception, then another to the other floors of the hotel, but this was a very minor inconvenience.

Sehr schönes Hotel
Pros:

Das Zimmer war groß, die Lage und Anbindung war super. Es war ruhig und wir haben von Nachbarn oder der Straße nichts gehört.

Cons:

Es gab leider keinen Schminkspiegel und das Licht war sehr dunkel. Man musste immer einmal den Fahrstuhl wechseln um auf die Straße zu kommen, das hat natürlich länger gedauert

I didn’t mind but can hear drums from temple in early morning hours with window open. If very noise sensitive maybe request a room facing other direction
