The hotel was centrally located near the main shopping district and in walking distance of the main attractions of the city. Our room was modern and clean.

The room was comfortable and clean and the staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location, at a walking distance from many attractions. However, the hotel is not a typical 4 stars hotel. Many facilities as a bar, specious lobby or fitness room are missing. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel! Location is superb very close to the metro station, shopping centre and most attractions are walkable. Breakfast has a great selection of food & drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

We booked a superior room and found it to be a good size for us and our luggage. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet given its central location. All staff we encountered were helpful.
The location is great. It is walking distance to the station, old town and Guggenheim.

Centrally Located, friendly staff, the breakfast had a variety of options. Great dinner options in the área.

Taxi to/from airport was cheaper than Uber. Easy check in, nice front desk staff. Hotel is very simple, no amenities at all but it was clean and quiet (I asked for a quiet room - apparently street and bar noise can be bad according to some reviews here). I did not have breakfast at the hotel. There’s a nice Starbucks a few feet away and also a coffee shop next door. Room was of a good size, bed and pillows were ok. Bathroom had a common shower/tub, shower pressure and soap/shampoo/ body lotion were average. I thought it was a bit expensive for the hotel quality but overall no complaints; it did its job without any luxuries.

My wife and I stayed here toward the end of August. I am a Sercotel Rewards Member but for this reservation I booked thru Capital One Travel since I needed to use a credit. I highly recommend signing up for their Sercotel Rewards Program since it’s free and they offer promotions and reduced hotel rates for members and have locations all over Spain which we have used before. Their hotels have always offered us a premium and consistent experience - and this one in Bilbao was no different. Large rooms, very clean, fantastic breakfast buffet and well located in the heart of everything. Their staff is very friendly and helpful - which makes a big difference especially for a tourist visiting a new city. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent hotel and total value for money. Reception charming and service excellent. Room as clean as can be, quiet and super spacious. Breakfast amazing and so much on offer. Only 11 euros per person if booked in advance. Bargain. Location as central as you would wish. So impressed with this hotel. Cannot recommend high enough for a stay of 2-4 nights in Bilbao. Bed super comfy. Shower excellent. Quick lift. Complimentary coffee in lobby.

Great place for the money

Sercotel Ayala is in an excellent location being convenient for both the old town and other attractions such as the Guggenheim. Our room was spacious and very quiet despite facing the street. Pleasant staff. We didn’t have the hotel breakfast. Would happily stay again.

One night stay for us with our teenage son before heading out for an early train departure the next day.
Very convenient location for the station and centre of Bilbao with all its shops & restaurants.

Excellent hotel, tucked on a quiet road behind the shopping area.
Very clean, modern room with great facilities.
Most importantly, quiet with very comfortable beds.
A well proportioned room, as often the can feel cramped with the third bed, but this was not the case here.
A large sofa bed made for more than an adequate sleep!!

All in all, no hesitation to recommend this hotel.
Would have happily stayed longer.

Visited the Sercotel Ayala Hotel in Bilbao for one night, hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of top destinations and very close to rail station and walkable to the bus station. Great price for this modern hotel. Our room was great, but small, so okay for a night or two, one issue is the duvet cover, it consist of two sheets that come apart as soon as you get into bed, so not at all practical. Hotel staff were very helpful.

Nice new hotel, city center. Close to shopping and restaurants. Clean, quiet room with nice bathroom.

Second time staying here. Asked for the same room, 606, as it was very quiet last time. 606 ready when we arrived. Receptionist sorted the AC to maximise cooling.
Modern, clean, a fridge and a safe.

Fantastic hotel .very clean and in a good central location. Only issue we had was the window wouldn't shut properly which meant you could hear the traffic at night .we reported the issue which was not fixed but the hotel did move us to another room.would recommended this hotel
