Clean rooms, great staff, and a very nice property.
Pros:

We checked in around 9 PM, and the two girls working were very helpful, bubbly, and sweet. We had drinks, and ate dinner at the bar. Our food and service was grea,t We really liked the bartender. He was very friendly, and professional! Breakfast very good, and hot. It was a short overnight stop, but we visit Des Moines often, and we will definitely stay there again!

Don’t stay at Renovo, choose Revel
Pros:

This hotel is modern and pretty cozy to stay in. We got a room on the first floor that was secluded. If you like quiet spaces, this is the right place.

Great stop!
Pros:

Great night, awkward morning!
Pros:

Clean modern room, looked updated. Not like an old drab hotel. Friendly front staff. Got to check in 3 hours early! Allowed our pizza delivery person to bring our food right to our room.

Cons:

"Complimentary breakfast" but the waffles costed extra. I dont know if this is the new norm, but i wasnt expecting it. Fridge didnt seem to be cold at all but was definitely running. Glad we had a cooler with us. TV didnt seem to have any option to connect to a streaming service, just cable. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9 am, wanted to come and clean when we weren't required to check out until 11. I told her we were packing up, she motioned for us to wrap it up. We dont go out much, i dont know if this is a typical practice..

Bar/restaurant on site, great location!

Cons:

An alarm kept going off all night long. Contacted the front desk where they told us to reset it and it would stop beeping. We reset it at least 3 times and it would stop beeping. We dismantled it. From what we were told, it was the carbon monoxide alarm! They should have came to our room asap the first time or given us another room. It was very annoying.

I will be back if I am in town for more work-related events! Perfectly fit my needs!
Pros:

I wasn't sure if there was complimentary breakfast or not, and there was so that was a pleasant surprise! I had supper and drinks there too, they were excellent! Wonderful facility and staff! My room was the perfect size for traveling solo without being boring or dull. It was also quiet!
