All in all, great place and nice support from staff.
Pros:

Great location, very central and near train station. Polite staff and supportive even before the arrival.
I asked for the kettle and an additional blanket - it was very quickly provided.

Cons:

In the middle of the night the TV just turned itself on, without image just with sounds - we did not initially understand where the sound was coming from, we really FREAKED OUT!
Also very noisy street, had to close windows for the night.

Very central, unique hotel with a beautiful terrace and friendly staff

Our stay in this hotel was amazing, we felt there like kings :D The staff was exquisite, one girl with brown hair made our stay even more pleasant, she always greeted us with a smile and was so friendly! When we have arrived we got a welcome drink at the bar, then by surprise we got a room upgrade at no cost, there complementary drinks in the mini bar in the room that were refilled the next day (as well as coffee pods), the location is right in the heart of the city, the main hotel terrace is extremely beautiful - so nicely decorated and it was full of beautiful plants. The room was extremely clean and the beds were comfy. The only thing is that if you stay over the weekend, the street where the hotel is - is very busy and loud, but the windows were rather thick, so we did not have problems. Highly recommend!

The lift was very slow :D But it's not a problem, there was a lift after all!

Bijzonder interieur, maar service en organisatie ver onder de maat

The Stamp ziet er op het eerste gezicht bijzonder en sfeervol uit. Het kitscherige interieur heeft absoluut charme. Helaas bleek tijdens ons verblijf dat een opvallend interieur nog geen goed hotel maakt.

We kregen bij aankomst een upgrade naar een deluxe kamer. Dat klinkt mooi, maar de kamer bleek verbazingwekkend klein. Veel ernstiger was echter dat zich op de gang bij onze kamer een grote airco-installatie bevond die enorm veel lawaai produceerde. Het geluid was dusdanig storend dat we vrijwel de hele nacht niet hebben geslapen.

Dat er technisch iets mis kan zijn, kan gebeuren. Wat wij veel kwalijker vinden, is de manier waarop The Stamp hiermee omging. We hebben duidelijk aangegeven dat het geluid onacceptabel was en dat slapen praktisch onmogelijk was. In plaats van serieus naar een oplossing te zoeken, werden we feitelijk aan ons lot overgelaten. Dit terwijl het hotel niet vol zat en er dus naar onze mening mogelijkheden hadden moeten zijn om in ieder geval naar een alternatief te zoeken.

’s Nachts blijkt er bovendien helemaal geen receptie bezet te zijn. Bij problemen krijg je telefonisch een medewerker te spreken die zelf niets kan beslissen en voor alles moet overleggen met een manager. Later hoorden we dat deze manager op vakantie was. Voor een hotel dat zichzelf op deze manier presenteert, vinden wij dat een bijzonder amateuristische organisatie. Als je gasten ’s nachts ontvangt, moet er ook iemand beschikbaar zijn die verantwoordelijkheid kan nemen wanneer er daadwerkelijk een probleem ontstaat.

Ook het ontbijt was een flinke tegenvaller. Na alle lovende recensies hadden we hier veel meer van verwacht. Het aanbod was simpel, karig en er was weinig keuze. Vleeswaren stonden bovendien ongekoeld opgesteld. Dat vinden wij niet alleen onverzorgd ogen, maar roept ook vragen op over de manier waarop met voedsel wordt omgegaan.

Ook de hygiëne liet te wensen over.
