Nice hotel with a few little issue (especially for the price point), however location and staff were excellent so we wou

-Location / views
-Staff very attentive but did look stretched
- hotel lovely and clean
- gardens maintained well
- direct access to Grasmere lake (we took our own paddle boards)
- spa area small but well equipped and provided a lovely little escape
- lunch food was good quality
- overall service excellent

Cons:

-Shower pressure/ water temperature in the morning was awful and cold
- no usb charging in the room !! Very old school
- terrace seating only has 6 people tables (approx 12 in total) - no 2 or 4 person tables so we found multiple tables taken up by just 1 or 2 people - nearly impossible to find one for lunch.

We had excellent stay and I would be happy to come back!
Pros:

Excellent location, beautiful surrounding, hotel buildings itself and hotel interior design.
Breakfast was delicious!

Cons:

Spa bath that goes off every 2min and you need to press button to keep it going.
Some members of the staff were giving more the the others and looked a bit tired.

Birthday trip
Pros:

This was my birthday trip & it was lovely. Great location, great room, so much on your doorstep. Breakfast had some choice, could have haf a bit more. We had massages on my birthday in the spa, again so good. The spa was nice, the pool area could be improved. Service was great.

Pros:

Excellent facilities at the Hotel and Spa. Highly recommended if you need a luxury weekend away. All the staff are super helpful and the location is superb with a very quick walk into Grasmere and short drive to Ambleside. We keep coming back which says it all. Great stay in May 2026.

Fantastic definitely stay again

We had a very relaxing stay. Thanking all the staff for making this possible.

Beautiful location with views of Grasmere. Very peaceful.

A few more choices on the menu having stayed for 4days. However, the food was delicious.
