A lovely stay with very helpful and friendly staff
Pros:

The location was great and the rooms very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and dinner in the restaurant.

Very enjoyable stay, great location.
Pros:

The location and privacy of the grounds was ideal. Plenty of parking. Good selection and presentation of food, especially breakfast. Plenty of space around the hotel to relax in.

Cons:

Bar and restaurant prices were on the more expensive side although the food was delicious. Unfortunately the ceiling has collapsed putting the swimming pool out of use, but our room was upgraded to reflect this. A waitress did not know what a glass of port was so could do with a bit of education.

Room excellent view but carpet soiled and dirty; no
comfy chairs to enjoy view; black mould in bathroom shower; bathroom radiator too close to hand basin area and if switched on and hot dangerous; basin tap loose
Food poor-first night tried restaurant-chicken Caesar salad a disaster . Breakfast unexceptional stuff so tried
poached eggs -two very amateurish small eggs
were produced looking totally unappealing

A relaxing and wonderful stay!
Pros:

The location was perfect. Bed was very comfortable. Shower / bathroom facilities were a good size and clean. Grounds were very well kept. Lovely outlook over the lake from the dining room. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very cheerful and chatty.

Cons:

The swimming pool wasn’t in use for 2 of our 3 day stay due to emergency repairs however the staff were very kind to offer a discounted meal as I had specifically booked the hotel to use the pool and spa facilities for my partners birthday. The staff even left a birthday card and some chocolates on the bed for his arrival which was very thoughtful.

Perfect location, stunning surroundings brilliant staff
Pros:

The hotel has such a calm and welcoming vibe. All the staff were brilliant. They bring a lovely restful atmosphere. The location is stunning! In a prime spot! Lots to do within walking distance. It was perfect. Food also gorgeous.

Room was a little basic - maybe add a
Mirror near the plugs to do your hair.
Nothing else - everything else was brilliant.

Liked the location and the staff were very helpful

Cons:

The steam roof was out of use for the first day of our stay and the hydro pool some of the jets were not working and also looked very tired could do with a referb and more facilities and the main hotel the carpets had a lot of stains on them.
