Relaxing stay in a beautiful location
Pros:

Lovely hotel, in a beautiful location with a great spa. We had a room ‘without a view’ which was hilarious cos the views in every direction are lush, even overlooking the car park where we were. V comfy beds and food was good too. Staff were friendly and professional throughout.

Cons:

Spa pool area was v slippy, we were warned but it made it less relaxing to have to be so careful underfoot.

Amazing hotel all round
Pros:

The hotel was in a very good location! Easy to access everything nearby either by car or public bus connections!
The staff were very friendly, especially the waiting on staff unfortunately I didn’t catch his name but one gentleman in particular working the evening in the restaurant, very friendly and funny.
The spa was lovely, it was a bit small but everyone was mindful of each other and didn’t have an issue with it at all.
The rooms were spacious and clean, bathrooms were lovely.
Food was also another point. Breakfast was lovely a nice buffet with plenty of selection and extras you can order from the kitchen such as pancakes and poached eggs!!

Cons:

The only issue I had was with birthday extras I had paid for in the room, upon checking in I think they gave us the wrong room so the flowers and cake I had paid for weren’t there.
However, reception was quick to amend this once it was bought to their attention and we moved rooms no issue where everything was.
Reception did apologise for this and honestly it was only a minor issue that was resolved quickly. I would definitely stay here again.

A pleasant comfortable stay
Pros:

Hotel staff friendly and helpful breakfast was great with a good selection to choose from.
Located in a lovely village would recommend another stay in the near future

A fab hotel and relaxing stay
Pros:

The staff were so lovely, food was exceptional! The bed was so comfy and room spacious.

Cons:

The spa was a little underwhelming as we didn't manage to book treatments, the hydropool seem to not be working all the way around and small areas for seating

Very relaxing stay.
Pros:

Great breakfast, room was very spacious & clean. Staff were fantastic throughout. The spa facilities were good too. Great view from the room.

Cons:

The TV in the room a bit small & no access to Netflix etc. The bar & restaurant were more expensive than I was expecting. For example £40 for a £11 bottle of wine is a bit too much.

A warm and friendly, relaxing January break in the Lake District.
Pros:

The location of the hotel was perfect. Check in on arrival was very easy and we arrived early. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great value and fresh with good choice of additional items from the menu. The Spa was clean and well maintained. The room was large, warm and cosy. The bed was comfortable. A very enjoyable stay. We would visit again for sure!

Great staff, great location and facilities
Pros:

All staff were friendly and professional- adjustments to spa times were made easily and breakfast was good. The location is fantastic and being able to park at the hotel whilst explore/walk hills, is an awesome. Great room with views over the lake. Quiet, clean room - we enjoyed our stay thank you.

It was very clean .

Cons:

We were given the assisted room which was fine however,if we did have mobility problems it was a bath & would certainly not be suitable for someone with a mobility problem & there was no shower curtain so the bathroom floor got very wet which we mopped up with towels..

Pros:

Breakfast was beautiful, lots of choice and the staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived. The room was great and spa facilities were amazing! I'd highly recommend and will be returning

Im not sure where the smoking areas are but we could smell cigarettes throughout the hotel at times
