Great! Would definitely come back.
Pros:

Staff are great and will do anything for you. We brought our own bottle of wine to have in the room and the bar staff opened it for us and gave us wine cooler to take back to the room too! The food is lovely too, my partner is a picky-eater and she ate everything on her plate. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. The spa is great and doesn't get too busy, they even comped us a treatment when our appointment wasn't up to their standard.

Cons:

The website says the spa opens from 12pm for new arrivals but we were told at reception it was actually 1pm. So we arrived an hour early with nothing to do in the hotel. There is also no place to get a hot or cold drink until 1pm either which is a mild inconvenience. Although I am nit-picking, it is a great hotel.

Enjoyed our stay, but I would probably stay somewhere else in Grasmere next time.
Pros:

Room was very large - lots of room for our luggage and to relax. Great view out onto the lake. A/C worked well. Appreciated kettle in the room. The sitting area on first floor was very nice.

Cons:

Carpeting in room, which I do not like. Bed was comfortable, but bed frame was a bit worn. Bathroom was quite small,

For price we paid, it did not seem like a 'luxury' hotel. Staff at check-in was fine, but not terribly enthusiastic or welcoming.

Pros:

We stayed here for one night of our honeymoon and could not recommend it more! It is located by the Grasmere Lake, with a beautiful garden by the river, couldn't have a better location!
The staff is also very friendly, we loved meeting Sammie!
The restaurant is also delicious, we had breakfast and dinner and it was delicious!

Thank you :)

Really lovely and enjoyable, pity about expensive evening meals
Pros:

Breakfast lovely. Evening meal just ok. Situation of hotel exceptional

Cons:

Please don’t advertise’ half board’ as you get £40 each for evening meal and you cannot get a three course meal for two on £80. .The price of evening meals was extortionate, eg starters £14 and mains £34 and you’ve already overspent the allowance.

Overall had a lovely few days and would visit again.
Pros:

Breakfast was good .Good choice . Restaurant gave a good choice of meals but didn't appear to change the choice throughout our stay . Staff were very pleasant . Room was comfortable and clean. Didn't use the spa but saw plenty of people using it .

Cons:

Plates were not hot in breakfast area . If I'm being pickie would like to see some fresh paint .
