It was okay
Pros:

Location in the city was great and the communal areas of the building are lovely

Cons:

I had higher expectations from seeing the building, the price and the communal areas. It felt a bit like a Premier Inn, room was a bit flat and service was okay. Things like water in the room would have been an added benefit.

Pros:

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is set in a great location, with both the university and the city centre easily reachable.

Cons:

The breakfast served English breakfast options on demand; with vegetarian alternatives. However, if you're more of a continental European breakfast type of person, there was a minimal display. No cold cuts or cheeses and only one type of bread (+ toast bread).

I wouldn't mind staying there again!
Pros:

Extremely convenient location: a few steps from the upper (Queen Street) exit of the Exeter Central Railway Station on the opposite side of the street. A bus stop of the bus (4a) going to the airport is only about 8 min walking from the hotel. About 15 min walking to interesting places downtown.

Cons:

The heating in my room was, unfortunately, not very powerful... I would have preferred that the room be a bit warmer (January!! and cold outside...)

Beautiful hotel in great location, sadly could do with some TLC as looking very tired.
Pros:

Fantastic city centre location
Staff very helpful and friendly
Beautiful building

Cons:

Sadly the hotel is looking very tired.
Threadbear carpet on the beautiful grand staricase. Room needs attention, certainly would benefit for re-decoration and bathroom re-fitted
