Thistle London Heathrow Terminal 5

Great place for planespotting, good food and nice staff. Aviator bar is the best. Their staff kevin, george and all the ladies are also amazing.

Had a nice meal in the restaurant George was very helpful

Easy to get to via pod would use the thistle again

Good location for airport. Room comfortable but tired.
Bar & restaurant great lovely food served by the lovely Dary.
Great views of Heathrow to sit and watch planes take off and land whilst having a meal. Very relaxing environment.

Stayed at quite a few hotels on Bath Road and this is clearly the worst experience we have encountered.

Parking - for car park that must hold at least 300 cars there are only 2 disabled spaces. Security guard would not allow me to find a space close to reception and guided me to overflow car park.

Reception - after explaining issue to receptionist she apologised and continued with check in. She then assigned us a room that was the furthest from reception. Not great for mobility issues. Fortunately we were on the ground floor as other members of party were on first floor. There is no lift so be careful if you have heavy suitcases.

Room - booked a Deluxe room and still struggling to see what makes it Deluxe. Discussions at reception reveal it’s a better coffee machine. Rooms are dated and whole hotel needs an update. Writing review at 5am as sound proof is non existent and rooms around must have an early flight. Finding the room is interesting we were in room 2## to get there you walk past 4## and 3## no logic. Family in 7## were on first floor. Bathroom was tiny.

Bar / Restaurant- after a good walk and steps with no lift you find aviation bar. Quite a nice looking space but smells like a Weatherspoons after a Saturday night. Drinks - £12 medium glass of red. £7 a pint of lager.

Overall- I really would suggest avoiding when going through reviews I notice a lot of mentions of staff by name. Should have been more suspicious for a airport hotel, very difficult to build rapport enough to mention so suggesting staff incentivised to get decent reviews

We had a great meal here. Kevin, our waiter was really friendly, polite and helpful. Food was good….we had the chicken burger and the London double decker burger.
A lovely way to start our holiday.

Overnight stay before flying from heathrow terminal five, very good parking at reasonable prices, pod transport direct to the terminal, ice independent way.

Business trip with friends and decided to be at this place due to the close being to heathrow airport but again we were wrong because the hotel doe not meet the standards oh a hotel room that they advertise

What great value for money, we did park and stay prior to flying out of terminal 5 and the staff were great and could not do enough for us.

The food was very good, the service was fast, and prices were in the average range. The view overlooking Heathrow’s runway was absolutely astonishing. Our waitress, Cenovia, was extremely friendly, always smiling and highly professional.

Bharti was an amazing bartender catering to our orders with professionalism. Highly recommended.
The aviators bar gives you an incredible view of the Heathrow t5 takeoffs - excellent for plane spotters.

Great location from T5 2 stops on the 423 bus Stance 6 - service was good by the young man on reception on our arrival as was the service by Lilianna in the dining room for breakfast very pleasant girl👍
Breakfast was enjoyable with all usual items available.
Service closes at 10am but no rush to leave which was nice to read a newspaper and finish coffee😀

Nice, comfortable, and clean room! Restaurant was very convenient in the hotel. Travel to airport is easy with the pod service.

A very comfortable room, and bed, I found the Aviator restaurant staff very friendly and welcoming, my waitress for the evening was Binita, who was very helpful, and charming.

The best terrace view for plane spotters amazing hospitality Lilliana is an amazing staff member very polite and professional definitely recommend

Explained earlier, room was freezing as air conditioning didn’t work as expected. Attended by staff and they arranged extra heater to warm up the room which took time to lessen my rest.

I stayed here overnight prior to meeting my son from Canada at Terminal Five.
I really enjoyed my time here from the wonderfully friendly polite staff to the incredible food in the Aviator Restaurant. I highly recommend the cocktails too.
My room had everything that you need and it was very quiet. I was impressed with the cleanliness too.

The hotel is a bit worn and noisy from Heathrow airport and there is no lift. Yet the room was OK and the transport to T5 was easy with the POD transport.

Lovely meal and friendly service. Airport hotels and restaurants are usually soulless and expensive but this is not. We were beautifully looked after by Kevin. Friendly and attentive.
Would definitely recommend both Kevin and the restaurant.
