Comfortable hotel, very convenient to the airport and the bus station.
Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable hotel close to the airport.
The room next to us had a noisy family and kids. However we asked the staff to ask them to quieten down which they did.
They accommodated my partner and I very quickly after a cancelled flight. Perfect spot right next to the airport and friendly staff. Room was tidy and clean and easy to get to from the lobby. The gentleman who checked us in was kind enough to give us a room on the ground floor as we had heavy luggage.

Location is perfect! Lovely, friendly staff and excellent food. Thank you for making us the special guests of the day, where we received complimentary drinks at the bar and some sweets! Genuinely made our day!

We had a really lovely stay at Leonardo Hotel East Midlands Airport. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. After a 6-hour drive down, it was such a nice surprise to get to our room and find two free drinks tokens and a box of sweets because we were “Guests of the Day” — such a thoughtful touch and it really made our stay feel special.
The reception area was very clean and smelled lovely every time we walked through, which gave a really good first impression. We also really appreciated the late check-out until 1pm, which made the morning much more relaxed and enjoyable.
What we didn’t like was that the room unfortunately didn’t feel as clean as expected. The toilet area smelled damp and there was also a noticeable cannabis smell at times. The kettle had visible white limescale around it, so I didn’t feel comfortable using it. We also noticed cobwebs in several places, dirty units, and some marks on the bedsheets.
At around 8am an alarm also went off because steam from someone’s shower triggered it. It wasn’t great when trying to have a lie in after travelling, so it may be worth looking into a way to prevent this happening in future.
