The welcoming staff and the brilliant location made for a great stay
Pros:

Lovely, welcoming staff. Very accommodating with specific requests. Excellent continental breakfast with charming and friendly service. Very relaxed. The location is absolutely excellent for a brilliant taste of London - the City, Brick Lane and historic Spitalfields on your doorstep.

Cons:

The rooms are bijoux (but still well designed) and can feel warm (fans are provided). The hot water in the shower was scalding and felt there should be some safety catches on the windows at the higher levels.

I arrived feeling a little disappointed when I learnt of the limited offer in terms of breakfast and evening food offer,
Pros:

I love the interior design of the compact rooms, which suit a solo traveler, and most of all its corner location, with breakfast in the bar looking out through windows onto an ever changing panorama of east end London street life.

Cons:

I think it’s unfortunate that the hotel has stopped offering its exceptional cooked breakfasts which really made the place distinctive. The ‘continental’ breakfast was of a very high standard , and I was thankful for the availability of a bowl of v good porridge.

I’d intended to have supper in the bar too, but the offer was very limited; charcuterie-rye dishes only.

Prima
Pros:

Het ontbijt was heerlijk en prima in orde. Het personeel was vriendelijk en aanspreekbaar. Het ligt heel dicht bij het metro station en er zijn heel veel eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Het hotel heeft ook een heel mooi interieur.

Cons:

De kamer was klein, het bed was heel cozy. Prima te doen met een partner maar nu met een vriendin wel wat klein. We sliepen er maar 1 nacht, langer had niet gehoeven. Denk er ook aan dat er geen lift is en het best stijle trapjes zijn.

Nice room above pub but horribly noisy if going to bed before midnight.
Pros:

Staff lovely

Cons:

Tiny room but by myself so fine. Noise was absolutely hideous. On first floor above speaker on ground floor. If going out to all hours probably fine.

Brilliant, comfortable place for a good nights rest!
Pros:

Incredible breakfast. Room was compact but had everything I could want. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure in the shower. Well placed outlets. Staff are very friendly and helpful - they helped me with checking in late on a Sunday very kindly.

Cons:

The bathroom door is shaded glass. I was alone so I didn’t mind at all. If travelling with a partner it would probably be fine too. I wouldn’t like it if travelling with a friend.
