Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft. Lauderdale N - Exec Airport by IHG

We are currently here and are very pleased with the room. It’s clean and spacious. Bed is very comfortable. In an age where a lot of hotels seem to be switching to smaller pillows I really appreciate the XL pillows. Rooms seem to be very well insulated as we heard no other guests. Water presure in the shower is good. Air conditioner works great! I was really impressed with the free breakfast - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links and patties, biscuits and sausage gravy, cinnamon rolls, muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, a pancake machine, coffee, and juices. Front desk personnel were friendly and professional. The only thing that would make it better would be an airport shuttle, but FLL is only 12 miles away and an Uber was very reasonably priced. I look forward to future stays here!

This was an average airport hotel. We stayed here pre-cruise. There is a shuttle that you can book to the cruise port that will pick you up at the hotel but it is not free. I believe it was $15/person. We booked transport thru the cruise line and took the shuttle back to the airport in the morning to pick that up. There is no on site restaurant but there are some snack items for sale. The airport shuttle was a nightmare. First of all it is a zoo at the area where you wait for the shuttle. Total chaos! We called the front desk to ask how to get the shuttle and were directed to the waiting area. When I asked how long, I was told it could be an hour! The hotel was only 2.2 miles away. We waited and waited. Several holiday in express buses came by that were not for “our”
Holiday inn There are several different holiday inn’s around the airport so make sure you know the address on the one you are going to. Finally one of the drivers told us that the shuttle we wanted was a shared shuttle with Candlewood Suites so we needed to be looking for THAT van. I wish the front desk lady had mentioned that as at least one Candlewood van had already come by. It took 40 min before we finally got on the shuttle bus. The return to the airport in the morning was also a cluster. We were told it leaves on the hour and booked for 10:00 with the front desk. The shuttle didn’t show up til 10:35 which was ok for us as were were just getting the cruise shuttle but other passengers were pretty upset.
Also the shuttle stops running at 11 pm and starts back up at 6 am. I know other hotels run a 24 hr shuttle so be aware if you have an early flight out or get in late at night that there will not be a shuttle.
Breakfast was pretty decent with good variety make your own waffles/pancakes and premade omelets that were pretty good.

Great hotel and location. The breakfast was awesome both morning. The staff was friendly. There was no issue at check-in and check-out.i would stay again my daughter and i.

Great hotel if you’re going to a Inter Miami soccer game

We have stayed at holiday inn for years and each and every year gets better and better . When we first arrived we met with Akim and Romaro they could not have been better in checking us into our room. Then it was breakfast time and we were served gracefully and the most delicious food. Everyday after that the breakfast and service was remarkable. The breakfast crew is always remembered by us Jeanine and Natalie . Jo Jean has been a friend of ours for many years and as much as we appreciated their hospitality and friendship we will be returning next year . We love you all - see you next year - you are the best - Gary and Michelle

The room was big. But I didn't like they slap the room door so hard making a big noise.

We stayed in April and May for a night each time on our way from Miami to Orlando and the staff as usual were excellent going out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Jo and her team are the very best and I would not contemplate staying anywhere else when in the area.
A good breakfast, clean room, comfortable bed and a great location!
We’ve already booked our next stay in 2026.
