Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Cincinnati NE Mason

Notified at checkin for $150 deposit(at a hotel, really).Not very friendly. Bathroom floor needed swept. Blanket had grease stains on it. Couch stunk(had go buy Lysol spray). Wanted to checkout a day early and no was there for over an hour. Another customer was locked out of his room and waited longer than I did. I didn't complain because I knew I wouldn't get my deposit back. Worst stay ever. Hawthorn should be embarrassed to have their name on this facility

Well I was charged 177 dollars for a room with a 150 dollar deposit that I never received back, the room didn't have any towels, coffee maker, pillow cases, TV remotes were missing and the place was dirty. Even the staff seemed shady. Anyway I will tell everyone of my friends not to do business with this place, and never book with hawthorn hotels again.

The carpet was dirty the dining room table legs needed to be tightened up because it the screws were loose when you had food out in the kitchen make sure it’s covered because the roaches will come out also the kid was at the table eating breakfast a roach came out the wall socket Omg I didn’t get a picture because it went back in the socket fast the bedroom had a baby sock on the floor balloons on the living room curtain popped of course and inflated the house keeper doesn’t pay attention to detail it was dusty in many places of the room bathroom was ok just had two small lotion bottles two used rolls of toilet paper two large towels two wash cloths one hand towel to use for Four people 🥴 so the next morning sent the kids to get towels they told me they had to tell the short white guy ask the desk many times what they needed because he seemed like he couldn’t get the rite amount of towels and wash clothes for Four people 👀 so as I’m waiting and it’s taking awhile I started my way up to the office because he’s not very friendly and his sense of humor is funny at all you can tell he’s not a happy person and not helpful at all when you ask him a question now the maintenance guy and the young lady that works there I saw was very helpful I give them 5 ⭐️, hold up this is the best part so I checked in everything was great so the next day I checked my account on my phone they charged me again for the same price, as we got back to the hotel I went to the front office I explained it the the same little fat white guy with the stretched circle earrings he said to me it happened to him also and they talked to corporate about it and the problem isn’t fixed yet so this has been going on for a while so I wanted to remind the customers watch your money because if you don’t catch it, they got free money out of you out of your bank account. That’s not right so this is what I tell you that he wasn’t helpful at all with the situation about my money.

This place has seen better days. Smelled smoky and musty despite claims that it is 100% smoke free. Only one pan in kitchenette. Appliances old & outdated. There were flies buzzing around in the room.

The room was not clean, there were fruit flies, the room smelled like a pet, the pull out couch was very stained and felt sticky. The carpet and flooring felt sticky and not properly cleaned. The refrigerator didn’t work.

This was hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We booked two rooms for a group of 7 people, and every single aspect of our stay was a disaster.Check-in Nightmare: It took nearly 2 hours just to check in. The front desk claimed Booking.com did not attach payment info. Booking.com confirmed they sent it, but the hotel refused to process it until a manager finally called someone to fix it after two hours of arguing.Broken & Missing Amenities: One room completely lacked a TV. The manager promised to bring one up, but it never arrived during our 3-day stay. The other room's toilet would not flush from day one, forcing 7 people to share one bathroom or use the public lobby restroom.Zero Supplies: Neither room had blankets—only 2-3 thin sheets on the beds. The pillows were toddler-sized, with only two per bed. We were given only 4 towels total for 7 people. When we asked for more blankets and towels, staff told us they simply had none.False Advertising: The listing promised fully equipped kitchens, but neither kitchen had a single utensil, pot, or pan to cook with.Room Damage: The rooms were in terrible condition, featuring holes in the drywall and a thermostat hanging completely off the wall.Unresolved Charges: We were charged a $150 deposit per room, which is laughable given the rooms were already trashed and contained nothing worth stealing. We were told this would be refunded at checkout, but we are still waiting for the credit.Safety & Service Issues: Our keycards deactivated 6 separate times. During one instance, the front desk was abandoned with a sign saying to call an emergency number. I called the number, and it just rang the empty desk right in front of me.Avoid this property at all costs. It is poorly managed, physically run-down, and entirely unequipped to host guests.

We didn’t have towels or washcloths throughout our stay to accommodate everyone in the room. Trash was still in the trash can from previous guests and was smelling. Shower was dirty. Floor wasn’t vacuumed. Shower knob was off track. Floor dirty in bathroom. We had no sheets or pillows for the pullout sofa. Tv was propped against the wall with no stand. And microwave didn’t work .

The breakfast in the morning was fair at best. Lacking a lot of things, plates, no juice, fruit just very limited!

The property was under some serious renovations but it seemed as if this had been going on for a while. Paint buckets among other various items were all over the hallways. When we got to our room it seemed ok but as we were putting things away we noticed there was a cabinet full of soup cans a coffee maker spilled out sideways with coffee grounds still in it the refrigerator was not wiped out. It was not clean. The dust sitting on the tv was so thick. It looked as if someone was living there and they knew we needed the room for the night. The pool is not in working condition (there wasn’t even water in it) and the breakfast area was not in good shape. It was very odd that they had to go physically check my room to see if they were going to release the incidental charge. They did but it seems like a trap to keep your money. The staff was very nice likely the only good quality of the hotel.

Amenities listed don't exist or are a joke. Be warned the place smells like weed and wet dog in the halls and day drinking starts around 10 am outside the front lobby. I don't recommend unless your homeless and desperate.
