Pros:

No AC for 1 day, no hot water for 1 day, promised lounge/bar not open, and adjacent clubs played extremely loud music that made my room vibrate until 3 AM. And at checkout when I asked for a modest discount because of all these problems, the nice clerk said the owner never gave any consideration to such requests. Everything else was good though. 🙄

Do not stay here if you want to sleep
Cons:

This hotel says it's attached to a restaurant which isnt open and doesn't operate. It is actually adjacent to a bar and club, where the music is so loud and actually gets much louder at 1am all the way through the early hours of the morning, it vibrates the whole room. The windows are thin and don't shut out any noise. ear plugs wont even help. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Do not stay here if you want to get any sleep.

Disappointing
Pros:

The staff was nice and the location was good and the hotel interior was beautiful

Cons:

There was no wifi, no breakfast and it wasnt super clean

It was not far from the location we needed for our trip.

There are nice places nearby and across the road.

Cons:

We didn’t have a wi-fi for the whole time of the stay. As much as receptionists tried to convince us that it’s temporary and someone will come to fix it - we felt like they never have a WiFi.

Additionally, it’s next to the club which is absolutely insane because music continued until 04:00. They claim that if you call receptionist all the time, then they can “go and speak to the club”, but that’s an absolute lie. Nothing changed even when we complained.

Avoid unless you really need to stay here.

Nice location and nice staff, everything else is terrible.
Pros:

The location is perfect if you want to stay next to the bosphorus.

Cons:

The hotel is extremely dirty. You can see insects flying in the reception desk all the time. The furnitures of the rooms are covered with dust. During night time prepare yourself to fall asleep around 2:30 am because the nightlife clubs next to the hotel make it impossible to fall asleep.

Has potential to be a great place!
Pros:

Ortakoy Hotel is a little GEM,that just needs more Love and Care by the owners/management.
It has great potential as you get "palace style" rooms at excellent value.
The bathrooms are nice and showers excellent
Big Shout out to Mr. Furkan at the reception who was very helpful. He was running the entire show alone... He explained that it was because of Bayram Kurban, Eid ul Adha holidays that they were short on staff.....

Cons:

The Discotheque next door which runs exasperating music till 3-4am. And although the hotel has double windows, the rooms on right corner are facing the club and music finds it way in...

No restaurant/ breakfast
Air-Condition in the rooms is centrally controlled and temperatures are not comfortable. Quite warm

Lovely stay in a great location
Pros:

The hotel was clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect — very close to the sea and many restaurants and cafes. The staff were kind and helpful, and the room was comfortable and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay.
