Love the place it was just a shame that they wouldnt even try to resolve my issue or even appologise for that matter

Cons:

We didnt get the room i paid extra for and when i asked about it at the main desk i was given a lame excuse and no offer to resolve or refund for the extra i had paid, i wasnt happy as it was supposed to be a nice night for my partner and i, i am worried that i will get the same level of carelessness when i get married there next year as i have booked the £12000 package

Pros:

The size of the rooms and the fact that it was lovely and quiet even though there was a wedding reception going on we didn’t hear anything at all.

Cons:

We were very disappointed with the restaurant and lack of choice. The only thing we fancied on the menu was the fish and chips but we were advised that they didn’t have any. Along with several other things that weren’t available to order.
I also feel that the rooms are a little bit tired and dated our towel heater wasn’t working and was held together with silver tape and the back was missing from the remote control for the tv.
None of this has stopped us booking again though for the end of the month 🤗

Pros:

Stayed before about 2 years back so thought we would come again

Cons:

Needs painting on main staircase was a mess 2 years ago still a mess
Bar area behind reception needs a hoover mess all over floor when we stayed yesterday 5th may 2026
We had blood on the duvet so needs a new duvet or a boil wash
Lift not working
Gym was closed
Should have been offered a partial refund

OK but breakfast system drives me crazy.
Pros:

Good room rate, convenient location.

Cons:

Breakfast procedure is unnecessarily slow and over complicated. Instead of just taking room numbers and letting people start on buffet items and taking cooked food orders later they take people in one at a time which takes forever.

A like bit like a premier inn, you know what to expect each visit, only much much nicer.
Pros:

We stay here quite often and are never disappointed. The room, which was their feature suit , was lovely and as always the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and we look forward to our next visit.

Maybe the bar prices are a little expensive which may be the answer to why we were alone on the bar.
